Stayed here for the weekend while walking in the area, including the South Glen Shiel Ridge (not for the faint-hearted, btw). Great location and lovely food and welcome, as always. Highly recommended - does what it says on the tin!

The husband and wife proprietors of the property have created an especially welcoming atmosphere with updated, clean comfortable rooms. We got a good night's sleep thanks to the quiet room and comfortable bed. We especially enjoyed the restaurant with its uncomplicated menu choices such as fish and chips, soups, and Cullen Skink. Its remoteness in the highlands and outdoor activities... More

We stopped here for a light bite both on the way to, and returning from, Skye. The food was good and good service to go with it. I'd strongly recommend the Cullen Skink. It's a long way from anywhere else, although the road can be busy, especially at weekends in summer. I stayed one night in this hotel 50 years... More

We had to wait a little while for someone to check us in, but the welcome was warm and friendly. The inn is geared to those who like outdoor pursuits and has a drying room for wet & muddy equipment and a cosy bar area, also a comfortable Residents Lounge. We had a four poster bedroom on the ground floor,... More

We just stopped for some lunch at the Cluanie Inn after a week of camping in the Outer Hebrides, obviously looking a bit rough around the edges. It was immediately evident from the barmaid who served us that we weren't the kind of customers they were looking for, she could hardly be bothered taking our order and was very rude.... More

only stopped for quick coffee which they kindly put in takeaway mugs so we could drink them in the car with the dog! Delicious coffee and very friendly staff. Also had kit kats and yummy flapjack to keep us going until fort william.

The inn is very comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even when I had a few problems. The location is excellent for hill-walking, with loads of wild Munros right on the doorstep.

Clean and quiet room. Good shower. Remote location. Pub dinner is typical fare of fish/chip, burger, pie, etc. but it is the only option. breakfast should be good but service was poor and dining area dirty and not looked after. Better to head off to a local cafe for breakfast. This place is okay for a stop over but set... More

It is a beautiful location but the owners are probably the rudest, unhelpful young couple I have ever come across. A difficulty was at first The staff (mainly foreign) make up for their attitude by being as friendly as possible. A group of us stayed for a few days to walk/climb and whilst the rooms are ok the food (and... More

Second stay here to pick off more Munroes in the area. It has a fantastic position for outdoor activities and also picks up a lot of people driving up to Skye. Rooms are quite small but have all the requires facilities. Good selection of wholesome food and real ale. Well worth a stop!
