We stopt here for a small bite before we would continue our trip too Portree. The lunch meals servered were nothing spectacular but ok and the staff was friendly. If it wasn't for the location we wouldn't recommend this place.

Stayed in lovely single room - very well appointed and warm despite it blowing a gale with sleet outside. The food was good as was the breakfast. Staff friendly and efficient. It has a very good drying room which was certainly needed on this day. The only downside is the cost of the WiFi which I refused to use at... More

We stopped for a coffee. The first thing that struck us was the signs offering wifi at a price, £4 for 2 hours. Then we had to clean our own table as had the couple next to us.The scone was so small that it was not really possible to put much jam on it, in fact the little individual jar... More

3 of us stayed for 2 nights in May in order to give us sufficient time to climb the South Glen Shiel Ridge. Staff could not have been more accommodating. We were driving from Glasgow & we were allowed to pre-order our dinner for our late arrival, we were late down from our hill walk (unexpected winter walking in May... More

the location is remote but exactly half way between Aberdeen and the ferry to the Western Isles, a great place to stop. The bar menu is good and the food is excellent. The views from our bedroom were amazing and the herd of deer grazing outside the window was an added bonus. We will definitely be back.

This is a very convenient place to stop for a meal whilst travelling between family in Edinburgh, and home on the Isle of Harris. We have done so perhaps a dozen times. Each time we have noticed a slow deterioration in service and food, but the last time in January takes the biscuit. We had decided to treat ourselves and... More

We stopped here for dinner on our way back from the Isle of Skye - although it is a remote location it is easily accessible as it's on the main road (A87). The staff were really friendly and the service was very good. There was a good range of food on the menu - to satisfy both adults and children.... More

We saw this driving by on our recent trip around the highlands it seems an oasis in the middle of nowhere, We tried to get inside and order food and drink but it was a melee and so busy we eventually gave up. I'm puzzled though as go through the door to the right ad it was melee very busy... More

Stayed there for two days last week as I was going to go walking on the Glen Sheil ridge. First impressions are great as you drive in the beautiful glen and the hotel is on the side of the road. Booked in and got shown to my room which was lovely, warm and very clean. Next stop the bar and... More

I and some friends have just stayed here for the second year in succession. Four nights each time in the Clubhouse. It didn't disappoint either visit. We were up to climb the surrounding mountains which were superb. We found the accommodation and hospitality perfect for our purposes. Every evening the inn was a very warm and welcoming base. There is a... More
