Situated between lovely bigg treas and a smallish river with some fantastic mountain views, lovely trails between the trees and river for children adults alike. The rooms are spacious and very cosy. Ideal get away for a family with a nice big swimming pool and seperate dstv room outside the restaurant. After a few days walking the trails, swimming and... More

Peaceful co-existence with nature is the hallmark of this Reserve. I was in a tent that felt like a treehouse with birds and monkeys in the trees. Some nice hiking trails, great food and the staff welcoming and more than willing to go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay.

Absolutely lovely setting. Staff was amazing. The beehives are beautiful, with wonderful views. I love the trails, the falls, all of it. The food was excellent. Great value. The owner stopped by in the morning for a nice conversation. A lot of work was done to reclaim this beautiful scenery. A wonderful relaxing stay.

The hotel is located in a fantastic spot besides a beautiful Waterfall surrounded by a lush wooded park with lots of hiking trails. They have three types of accommodation: the cottages (which accommodate several people), the beehives (huts built in traditional swazi style) and the tents (large tents erected on a wooden platform). Even though the quality of the accommodation... More

If one has to stay somewhere in Swaziland, it's for sur in Phophonyane Falls Eco and Nature reserve. Great location and trail, excellent service and - if you're lucky - interesting coffee time with the owner who decided to create this diversified dans eco place. Great place to say - even for 2-3 days, which will allow you to start... More

We spent one night in Beehive 1 after spending two nights in Ezulwini Valley on our way to Kruger/Blyde River Canyon. We only spent 1 night because this was our splurge hotel. We were pleased that we went. The setting is beautiful--after driving through timber forests, you arrive and a beautiful, natural forest that makes you sad the surrounding area... More

We recently stayed in both the beehive accommodation and the cottages at Phophonyane, opting for self catering accommodation. The setting is lovely, and the main hotel area well appointed. The beehives are novel and pleasant, although the cottages were distinctly average and in need of a facelift. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Our package included breakfast, which...
