We stayed at this hotel based upon my friend's recommendation. It is perfect in all aspects, particularly in service, food and 4 private onsens. You need to use iPad to make a reservation for free private onsens. Our room overlooks the river and it offers a good view as well. This is our #1 during our 2 weeks trip in... More

Asebino was pretty much perfect. The other reviews have captured it quite well so I won't repeat them but add a few points of my own. We are a family of three. I speak decent Japanese. We visited in late March, about a week late for the spring blooms in Kawazu. First of all, I do recommend visiting only if... More

There is much to be said about this Onsen hotel. It is a perfect combination of modern hotel and traditional Ryokan. There are four types of rooms, two of which includes a in-room kotatsu, which is absolutely great for warming your feet during autumn and winter. The bathroom / in-room onsen is squeaky clean. When you look out the room... More

I didn't except too much before we got there, but this hotel impressed me a lot when I just stand in front of the hallway leading to the lobby. The outdoor onsen was awesome! It is right beside the river and face to the beautiful mountain, and it feels like there's nobody else in the world at that moment so... More
