very nice place, clean and comfortable. The hot spring baths were very pleasant and took the edge off of the jet lag. The food was incredible. We paid 60200 yen, i have no idea if thats good or bad, i just know it include a delicious dinner and breakfast for two, the hot springs and a huge room with river... More

We stayed at Sagaswakan for three nights and enjoyed every minute! The Kaiseki meals (dinner and breakfast) are fabulous! They have a chef from Kyoto so the artistry and flavor of the meals are beautiful and refined. We have enjoyed visiting the Izu Peninsula on both the eastern and the western coast but this time we went inland to enjoy the Sagasawakan Ryokan at the recommendation of dear friends in Tokyo. Had an amazing experience at Sagasawakan. We booked the Japanese-Western rooms with the open air bath and the room was huge!
