Stayed at the Bell last week. Didn't spend a great deal of time here as we were of to Nocturne in Blenheim Palacs but satisfied with our stay. Beautiful old fashioned pub with charm. Stayed in Room 10 up in the roof. Clean, ensuite and with sloping floor. A function of the charming old building. Fine breakfast in the morning.... More

We were fortunate to have room 3 The Bridal suit. Very flash room overlooking the front of the hotel. The suit comprises a large bedroom with two comfortable chairs and small table under the window. Large TV. More than enough storage space. Off this is the large bathroom, comprising modern shower, huge bath and vanity. In the pub itself the... More

Rooms in annex are OK but still work in progress, e.g. wall mmounted heaters not working so portable one provided instead. Bathroom needs some TLC. The big let down is the dinner. The food is very basic and consisted of pre-prepared oven heated ingredients which would be half the price elsewhere. Not the worst place but there are much better... More

The Bell Inn dates from 1700, with all the character you would expect. Some rooms are in the old part and some in a modern annex at the back. We stayed here for two nights over the May Day bank holiday and would stay again. We were in room 14 in the annex. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean,... More

First of all I would like to say I have written quite a few reviews and always read reviews before I book somewhere. I know different people like different things so I always give facts in my reviews and let people make their own minds up. I warn everyone to stay well away from this place. Myself, my husband and... This pub/hotel was absolutely stunning, a hectic Christmas meant my partner and I needed some serious R&R which is what we got at The Bell. With 2 beautiful fireplaces, lovely food and a stunning room we left feeling wonderfully relaxed & revitalised. Thank you to Tracy, Colm & all the staff for looking after us. we'll be back in the... We have just returned from a wonderful break to this hotel. All the staff are so friendly, as were the locals who all made us feel very welcome. With two open fires, giving the hotel a cosy feel, we were lucky enough to sit by one for our dinner and the other for a chat and chill. The Inn is... More

We've stayed previously under different management. It was much better then. Decided to risk it although we were very suspicious of the glowing reviews from multiple first time TA reviewers. I took them with a pinch of salt and was right to do so. I could easily have dropped this review to two rather than three. Staff were friendly and... More

I wanted a place to relax, enjoy, with nice food a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. That is exactly what I got. The management and staff go out of there way to make your stay exactly what you are looking for. The location is beautiful and what you would expect from the Cotswold's, peaceful beautiful and rural. At the Inn... More
