If you wish to enjoy the sunrise moment of Borobudur, it is highly recommended to stay in Manohara. Honestly speaking, the hotel is a bit old but clean. Service is also good. Since it is just right next to Borobudur, it did save our time and could sleep until late during our sunrise trip.

We stayed here with a family of 4 comprising of 2 adults and 2 children for 4 nights for a retreat and have no regrets. The Manohara does exactly what it promises to do ie provide you with an unpresumptious place to stay whilst you take in the many changing faces of the Borobudur temple. The rooms are smallish but... The hotel is part of the grounds to the Borobudur temple. The rooms are spacious and each room has a back porch, where you can go outside and sit enjoy the whole atmosphere of the area. The hotel is one floor so all the rooms pretty much have the porch. This hotel has the advanced access route to the Borobudur... More

This hotel is in the park of the Borobudur temple, and the room price includes an entry ticket to the temple for the duration of your stay (multiple entries) The rooms are relatively small, but well maintained, convenient and clean. They also have a small outdoor patio with 2 chairs that allow you to sit outside and watch out over... More

This place is quite calm, staff is very nice and helpful, food is good. Rooms are pretty clean, but in order this is an expensive resort, its a shame that the platter with coffee cups was literally glued-on table, wardrobe was full of dust on the top and there was a mildew in shower. But otherwise, this place is beautiful... More

A fabulous lush garden hotel with an awesome view of the majestic Borobodur! Stay in this hotel if you plan to go for the Sunrise Borobodur tour, which is highly recommended. The tour will start from the hotel grounds at 4.30am as sunrise is expected at about 5.30am (depending on season). Good to have a tour guide to have an... More

We normally only stay in budget places (Rp 130,000 - 250,000) when we can, but I decided to treat my partner on his Birthday and we are so glad we chose Manohara for our Borbudur experience. Yes, you can get the sunrise tour from other places, but most of the sunrise tours leave right after the sunrise, no chance to... More

The price is a little expensive for Indonesian standards but its worth the price when you factor in the ticket price, and the taxi cost from Yogyakarta also having all day access to the temple complex is a nice perk. The hotel restaurant is located amongst a nice garden, and a nice setting to have morning breakfast. There's some bikes... More

Nothing better than Manohara if some one want to see and enjoy the site of Ancient Borobudur temple. Beautiful lush garden spreads towards the beautiful temple site. Lovely morning and afternoon walks in the garden is special. Hotel rooms are basic and ok could be nicer but we don't mind due to its stunning sarroundings. We highly recommend this hotel... More
