Everything was absolutely perfect: the room, the pool, the common area and the service! It was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed and the view of Borobudur temple was amazing. Unfortunately, we stayed only one week.

This is the best hotel we ever stayed at, even though we have been to many very nice places and many 5 star hotels. As one of the reviewer wrote, this is more an experience than an hotel. Everything is perfect: From the pick up at the airport to the departure. Of course, the suites are amazing, the pool is... More

We spent four nights here on July. The setting was spectacular, overlooking the Borobudur temple. The room was spacious and comfortable, the pool is fabulous. But better than all of this was the service, from the reception, to dining, to the drivers, and the spectacular GM Mark Swinton. We had some rain while there, so they organized a cooking lesson... although i was there on a work trip and didnt spend too much time in the hotel , I thought this hotel was brilliant.,the rooms were beautiful and the construction of the hotel is inspired by borobodur temple. the rooms have an ipod that plays some soothing local gamelan music ! each room has a personal balcony overlooking the temple... I originally posted this review under the dining room of this hotel, but I wanted to make sure that it is seen by others considering staying at Amanjiwo. Last month, my husband and I went for lunch at the Amanjiwo Hotel. I ordered a salad, and later that day I had an acute onset of a GI infection that eventually... More

A superbly architected hotel, totally in keeping with Borobodur, in a great location overlooking the valley and Borobodur. The manager, Mark, was incredibly friendly and helpful, and all the staff were terrific. It is a very calm and restful location, although it may be a bit too quiet for those wanting more atmosphere. Like all Amans, it is expensive, but... More

Even in the rainy season this was a delihtful place to stay. Cant wait to return to really enjoy the stunning pool with its view onto farmland - rice paddies come up to the hotel - real Indonesia. Wonderful rooms, great food and service and a complete treat to stay here.

There's not much to do around the area. So when you come To this hotel you feel relaxed and content. It's a place to come and relax and enjoy just being. Gorgeous pool with great service and food. As well the restaurant was very good. The room makes you feel like a princess with the big bed and big baths.... More

This resort is rated #1 in Borobudur but frankly, it could easily be #1 in Indonesia, if not Asia. It is spectacularly good. From the moment we are met at the airport, ensconced in a lounge until our luggage collected, and then comfortably driven the 90 minutes to Amanjiwo, we were lavished with care and attention. This was our second... More

We were at Amanjiwo for 3 days at the start of our honeymoon to Indonesia. The place is amazing and the service and attention to detail by the staff was brilliant. We arrived late at night due to missed connections and the Amanjiwo staff were at the airport to receive us and on arrival at the hotel we were able... More
