Resort setting and location is simply stunning. However do not bother paying USD 250 per night for the paddy cabana room which is one of the most impractical spaces I have come across and where I was relieved to get out of after one night (normally one wants to stretch one's stay at a "luxury" resort). You are paying for... More

Dear ttwannabe, Paddy cabana is one of our products in Plataran Borobudur designed to provide certain guests first-hand experience at living in a real Javanese small house at the lower area of our resort which offers a picturesque view of paddy fields and the Borobudur villages. It is part of our continuous effort to equip our resort with international standard... More

We stayed 3 days at the hotel and visited Jogjakarta and Borobudur. We stayed in a pool villa which had it's own small plunge pool and garden which my children loved. The service was good and the main pool is very nice. The breakfast had a lot of choice, was good quality and was served on the terrace which had... More

The hotel is beautiful, amazing location with stunning views of Borobudur ( but quite far away). Great breakfast. The coconut treatment at the spa is pure bliss. We stayed in a two bedroom villa which was beautiful but no view. The stone bathtub is just perfect! The Temple is overcrowded. It is worth seeing at sunrise.

Only stayed here one night sadly. It is a beautiful boutique type hotel in lovely grounds and it is possible to see Borobudor in the distance between the verdant palms and terraces. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is an air of elegant peace about the whole place. Our room was beautifully equipped with bowls of fruit and... More

Dear Stephanie058, Thank you for your warmly expressed review of your sadly short stay and late arrival. In our discussion with the staff, about your comments they also expressed their sadness not to be able to show more of their hospitality to you. At the same time it made them proud that you had such great satisfaction and were able... More

Fantastic location, with a great view on the Borobudur temple from the terrasse where you have breakfast. Small but lovely "villa" rooms in a nice and hilly garden. Nice welcome with a short massage. Clean room and bathroom, although some insects flying arround, quite normal under this climate. Friendly, fast and efficient service. The only dispointment was the diner in... More

We loved the resort, we booked the pool villa, spacious with great privacy, you can sit next the pool site and watch Borobudur temple anytime. The resort got great view, nice swimming pool and beautiful architecture with "Colonial/Javanese" style. All staffs speaks good english, friendly and very helpful. My hubby forgot his necklace in the room the day we check... More

3 nights in paddy cabana Good things: Location is incredible, nice view of Borobudur temple, nice pool, massage was great though expensive, breakfast was quite good. Cabana was very nice from the outside, as seen on the web page. Bad things: Stairs (154 stairs from my room to restaurant, believe me, I counted them several times). Paddy Cabana is nice... More

Loved the resort. A great combination of 'colonial' style and Javanese style. The restaurant and bar area is beautiful with great views over to Borobodur. However there is persistently irritating music. Piped in the morning, played by automatic pianola in early evening and followed by live duo later. A bit of fun, yes...but not as accompaniment to a quality meal.... More

We did the hop across from Bali to Yogyakarta to see Borobodur. I knew it would be hot and humid so comfort was very important to us on a romantic break. I booked a top of the line Grand Pool Villa. They only have two of those so I made sure I did my research and got the quiet one.... More
