We stayed at Gibbs Farm October 2014 for 3 nights to enable us to take in the Ngorongoro Crater during a fortnight in Tanzania. It is a fabulous place to stay. Our lodge was fantastic, spacious, tastefully furnished, and set amongst the most delightful gardens with lovely exotic flowers and herbs, immaculately mainatined by the enthusiastic gardeners who are happy... We've stayed for one night right after the safari in Ngorongoro crater. Immediately when we've entered the hotel we were amazed by the beautiful gardens. Our cottage was spectacular with a giant king size bed, dinner was very good and while we came back to our cottage we've noticed an honeymoon surprise on our bed. The sleeping was very cozy... More

We stayed at Gibbs Farm in October, 2014 as part of a Tanzania Safari, and a stop at Ngorongoro crated. The hotel is located on a working coffee farm with beautiful gardens supplying farm-to-table produce for the amazing meals. The guest cottages are luxurious, with comfortable beds, outdoor showers, and comfortable sitting areas with views of the farm. The hotel... More

Gibbs is a large working farm that grows its own produce, raises some of its own meat and even grows and roasts its own coffee. Situated on the side of a mountain, the main building and the rooms all offer great views, either over the valley or, as our room, the farm. The lodge is spacious, nicely appointed and has... More

I have to admit to being a little sceptical of the Kuoni itinerary when I read that our journey between Arusha and Ngorongoro would be broken with a stop at Gibb's Farm for lunch. It sounded a little touristy to me, but how mistaken I was! Gibb's Farm is a beautiful, calm and tranquil place to spend some hours, enjoying... More

Gibb's Farm was a WOW experience. After 3 days of safari, which were amazing in themselves; we finished with an overnight at Gibb's arranged by Bush2Beach Safaris. We stayed in beautiful Mulberry cottage, complete with terrace overlooking the gardens, fireplace (which we took advantage of as it was a cool night), luxurious bath and comfy bed. The food was wonderful,... More

We have just returned from 14 days with my wife and two kids in Tanzania, including 3 at Gibbs Farm. What a marvelous place, especially welcome after a couple of weeks roughing it at tented camps. Gibbs Farm is an oasis of tranquility set in fabulous gardens surrounded by coffee and its incredible vegetable patch. Our cottages were spacious and... More

A fantastic property in a fantastic position. We stayed in house number 4 - Mulberry - very, very spacious. One of the best properties we have stayed at. Only 40 mins from Ngorongoro crater. Everything excellent about this property, nothing bad!

Stopped in for lunch and fell in love. Gibb's Farm has been on our "preferred" list for years, but I've never had the chance to visit in person... until two days ago. Incredible food created from locally grown vegetables, a working farm of pigs, cows, and chickens provides the proteins, and a staff of 10 full-time gardeners keeps every inch... More
