In reading all if the recent reviews, I agree with pieces of all of them, except for one, where they mention how many children were there. We visited in late May, just before the Summer holiday season began, and we had very few children there at all (go figure!). If you have children, then I imagine this is the best... More

I think most people have already covered the location, the adventurous trip to get to Sacha, the great food and very comfortable accomodation, all of which we really enjoyed. This is comfortable Amazon, but that doesn´t mean you don´t have a real wildlife experience and learn loads. The real highlight for us were the guides and particularly our two -... More

I had dreamed for years of experiencing and exploring the amazon jungle, and bypassed the anakonda cruise for this lodge as it was the only our tour operator had available. In one way, the lodge is very organised in transfers and allocation of wellingtons and ponchos to guests, in other ways it is run a bit too much like a... More

Sacha Lodge is gorgeous. Elevated walkways over flooded forest lead you around the lakefront property. There is an open dining area overlooking the lagoon and a two story screened dining room with bar nearby. Rooms are separated in clusters so they feel very secluded. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Each has a porch with a hammock open to the... More

We just got back from 3 nights and 4 days at Sacha lodge with our two boys 11 and 8. We added this on after our cruise in the Galapagos and were generally very happy with Sacha lodge. To get to Sacha you fly from Quito to coca where Sacha lodge employees meet you, take you on a bus for... More

I visited Sacha Lodge in August of 2007. I chose a five-day bird watching package. Neither the lodge nor the tour company I booked my stay with, Tropical Birding, told me that the package wasn't really five days. I was new to bird travel and didn't know to ask at the time. On Day 1, I flew to Coca, had... More

Sacha offers an amazing Amazon experience. The lodge is beautiful and serene, each room backs onto jungle. Even showering is open to the jungle and night is full of sounds of the insects, frogs and windy howls of the howler monkeys from afar. Canoeing and hiking through the forest and climbing above the trees on the canopy tower is surreal.... More

Fantastic information via email for booking- and our concerns regarding Lago Agria airport (coca closed for mAintainance) discussed in full + options given. Flight to and from Lago Agria hitch free. Amazing room and service at the lodge. Loved the shower with a view to outside nestled in the jungle. We saw monkeys from our room! Thoroughly recommend! Black water... More

We traveled here with our boys 11 and 13 after our travel agent recommended it, since we had a few days before our galapagos trip. It was amazing and believe it or not our kids talk about it more than our 7 day boat trip to the galapagos at about 4 times the price!! When we arrived off the plane... More

This lodge is simply amazing, I will never forget my trip here. I already want to go back! This lodge keeps you very busy, ensuring that you get your moneys worth. Everything was organized so well! We were met at Quito airport where a guide was assisting people to ensure they got on the right flight. We flew from Quito... More
