Like others, I found the rooms to be clean, the beds comfortable, and the water in the shower hot. Towels and soap/shampoo are provided and a tasty breakfast (cooked, not buffet style) is included in the price of the room. (There are two choices for breakfast - eggs and a sandwhich of ham or cheese, or the house special of... More

Our room was very comfortable and clean. Good hot shower. The staff was sometimes hard to locate, but overall they were accommodating and friendly. I suffered a mishap involving LOTS OF MUD on the way to Puyo from the jungle, and the staff took in my disgusting pile of laundry without complaint!

This hostal/hotel is located in the town center of Puyo. If you're looking for an inexpensive alternative from the more pricey hotels in the area this would be your best option. There are indeed better hostals and hotels throughout Ecuador for a lower price, however this hostal for the area does the job. Hot water, a luxury in this part... More

I live in Tena, 2 hours from Puyo. Puyo in general is very ugly, the people mean, and there is no reason to go there. However, if you must, Hostal Las Palmas is a good budget-range choice. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfy, and the showers were hot although the bathrooms are tiny. I have stayed in much... More

I do not know where some of your other reviewers stayed before here but this place was in a terrible location. Noisy, Noisy, Noisy. Between the dogs barking and the motorcycles and truck going by constantly, I could not sleep. The Wi-Fi was terrible. The rooms reminded me of a shanty with uneven floors and shabby shabby furnishings. The bathroom... More

Hostal Las Palmas offers a lot for it's price. Bright, nice and quiet rooms around a green patio, good beds and a very friendly staff. Great place!

I echo what the other reviewers had to say about this place, especially the staff. Puyo is also a great place to launch explorations further afield.

Hostal Las Palmas is good value at $15 per person including breakfast and taxes. The room was large, very clean and overlooking a nice patio with a parrot. We were worried about street noise because it is downtown on a main street but we slept fine. The managers are very nice. Breakfast was fine but if you're vegan, you might... More

Lovely building, 5 minutes walk to the centre of Puyo. Safe. Huge, comfortable rooms. Private bath and functioning hot water. Breakfast is included. It is huge and you can choose between local specialities or american breakfast. Wonderful place to stay and even more important, the hostess is so friendly, smiling, helpful. She will give you all tourist information needed, help... More
