I stayed 3 nights with my daughters age 23 and 12. The cabins are thatched roofed and without electricity, so it felt like a real adventure. The cabin was on the Napo river;very comfortable and peaceful. The hotel provides you with plenty of safe drinking water so we had no worries about getting sick. The staff was very ,very friendly... Nice place in the located middle of the jungle with the Napo river crossing just a few feet away. We took the tubing excursion in the river , we have to negotiate the cost since is kind of expensive, anyway was a fun activity, eating in the place is not recommended. Was found several good restaurants 15 minutes away in... More

Some years ago there was no electricity and was far away from everything but now those days are gone so there is no good reason not to have electricity in the cottages. The towels were old and we had a hard time to be able to take a shower. The staff is very nice and they have lots of interesting... More

Dear Margarida: Thanks for writing us, it is true that we are not in the deep jungle, actually we decided to keep our concept of Ecological Lodge and give our passengers the feeling of being at the entrance to the jungle without electricity to be disconnected from the city. However we will consider your recommendations and we apreciate your comments.... More

I was here some years ago in july. So it is some time ago. But i will never forgot this lodge. It was quiet, nice small room with no electricity. The food was good and you can do a lot of excursions (boottrip, walks etc).

We thought we might have chosen second best by being in the secondary rain forest however it meant less expense and travel time and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were made very welcome, the food was outstanding - delicious fresh ingredients beautifully cooked. Alfredo, our Quichua guide was so interesting looked after us very well. I loved the sound of... I believe it's a great lodge to experience the Amazonian rainforests if you don't have enough time to go deeper into the jungle. Say, if you have just day or two or three. This is very close to Tena, but it is better to stay here rather than in Tena to get a better feel of the jungle. As mentioned... More

Hot and humid! I guess what do you expect from jungle. It was just such a stark contrast from Quito. Rooms are rustic but the beds were comfortable. Be prepared for the noise of insects all night long. It 'sort' of lulls you to sleep! Also befriended by a large cockroach in the room. No electricity (be sure to have... More

No baloney - this is the jungle of the Amazon basin. No electricity in the rooms, very little hot water, and lots of screens that sort of work (take repellent). Great staff, good beer and lots of camaraderie among guests. We pulled tables together and had a wonderful dinner conversation with two women from Switzerland and honeymooners from Chicago. The... This lodge is great! Especially at night when it is lit with lots of candles. There is a generator but i think they chose to keep it minimal impact. The beds were a little short and even i could not really fit in and i am not even 1,80 meters. The lodge lies at the river and is great value... More
