As previous reviewers mention, this is not a true jungle experience. It is an eco-lodge so its nice to give back to the jungle and care for it...but you dont feel emerged since you see lights from locals homes and are right off a road. If that is what you are looking for maybe choose going to Coca from what... More

We were expecting something different, the jungle experience they say to offer. From our cabana we could hear the cars on the road nearby, and even see the cars on the road across the river. Place was ok, but not quite what we were expecting, extremely overprized for what is offered. Staff was nice and friendly, but super young and... More

My wife and I spent 4 nights here and loved it. It's important to note that this is sort of Amazon light. It's not in the middle of wilderness. That's both good and not so good. It's good because the lodge is easy to get to but the quality of the road by the lodge has also led to increasing... More

Our tour group stayed here for three nights. Most of us had complaints about the place. We didn't expect luxury in the Amazonian jungle, but this place definitely needs improvement. The cabins were at a distance from the main building along poorly-lit gravel paths. Since there was no electricity in the cabins, we were given kerosene lanterns, but they were... More

Although the thatched cottages were what we expected the food was not. We were very disappointed with the quality of food it was just warm and was not appetising , coffee and tea were only offered at breakfast time. The staff well, they were pleasant enough but we had to show them our itinerary as they had know idea which... More

We stayed there 2 nights and really enjoied a wonderful place, great employees, fun day trips. very very good food (the best we had in Ecuador) and all of that in the middle of the jungle. We really think it was very wise going there. More

Spacious, clean rooms with HOT WATER, comfortable beds. The staff are very friendly and our guide was very knowledgable and his enthusiasm for the jungle shown through. The activities that were arranged for us- hike to waterfall, butterfly house, jungle hike to animal refuge and a Quichua community visit were all fantastic. All meals have 3 courses, and is very... PROS: Beautiful cabins set in gorgeous surroundings. Great food. Highly attentive staff. Lots of excursions and activities. CONS: Everything is planned for you--you don't get to choose your excursions as their web site implies. Some excursions are much better than others. Pricey. Somewhat artificial feel. Travelers used to staying in hotels and booking prepackaged trips will probably find Cotococha to... More

We stayed at Cotococha for 3 nights in in mid October, we were not part of a tour group, although there were a handful of tours present when we were there. After a somewhat annoying reservation and payment process our actual stay was very good, and the service at Cotococha was excellent. Making a reservation at Cotococha was a lengthy... More

We spent 3 nights here as part of a touring group. We enjoyed it, lodge was clean food was good ( chef always amenable to cook you something else if you didn't like what was on offer). Staff helpful and friendly. Snags were firstly coordinating the hot water ! If you are in a lodge at the end of the... More
