Poor value for money. With such an expensive accomodation I'd have expected a luxury treatment. I couldn't believe my eyes when they served three small slices of chicken breast for dinner! The same considerations apply to breakfast. Essential common areas. Very expensive excursions. The staff is helpful, but that's all. We didn't succeed in seeing any animal at the lodge,... More

The visit to Hamadrayde was the culmination of two years of planning to bring a two groups of school families (total of 30 people) from Australia to experience firsthand the mountains and rainforest of Ecuador along with the islands of the Galapagos. Sebastien and his team were excellent hosts over the total of six days that that the groups visited.... More

My husband and I toured Ecuador in celebration of his 30th birthday and spent a couple of nights at the Hamadryade Lodge. It was SO BEAUTIFUL and will be a forever memory for us both. From the moment you turn onto the driveway you know you're in for something special. It was such luxurious and secluded experience in the middle... More

Recently stayed at the lodge with my family and loved it. It was definitely more rustic than I expected from the website, but if you are mentallyprepared for heat and bugs you will love it! The staff was incredible. They were soooo nice and accommodating. They were beautiful peaple in a beautiful place and made every really easy. We miss... More

Everything about this serene (only 5 accommodations - all privately situated bungalows of high quality, contemporary construction) oasis in the Amazon rainforest is extraodinary. The on-site owner is a friendly, engaging Frenchman whose family has been in the hospitality industry for generations. It shows in the service, cleanliness, and attention to detail.

The hotel was beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable with an amazing view. Everyone in the hotel was super nice and helpful recommending activities to do during the day and night. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel if your looking for luxury and comfort in the Ecuatorian amazons.

I'm writing this review from the lodge and I haven't checked out yet, although I have to say for the first time, I can't wait to leave. I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. This place shouldn't be operating or they should update their facilities. The Internet was down, the food was bland at best -... More

It is weird to have clients that tell you that everything is fine and then remeber things after. So one piece of advice next time: when there is a problem with hot water, or a bug (because yes we have bugs in the rainforest, some people are still surprised about it, even though I thought that the word rainforst or... Stayed here in June with my girlfriend for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. The property is beautiful with a nice lounge and pool and stunning views out to the Napo river. Rooms (wooden cabins) are designed to a very high standard with small balconies and huge comfy beds! The food was also good, especially the deserts! However, I... More

There is a lot going for this lodge and I wish I could give it a higher rating since it has so much going for it; however, some of the problems below prevent me from giving it a better recommendation. First the Positives: The lodge is beautiful, the location is great, the rooms are very unique and comfortable and the... More

unfortunetly, they are right, very harsh by giving a damaging note, but right. at the end of the season, a few things are indeed breaking down, after 2 months at full, some glasses were indeed damaged (of course they've been replaced straight after, but living so far from Quito we couldn't do it sooner). Sam problem with the fan, we... More

We had a very comfortable stay here and the staff were friendly and helpful. With the small number of guests, the attention is very personal. We enjoyed a night walk in the forest and a trip to a wildlife reserve. The food was lovely too. Not the fault of our hosts, but we were seeking more access to wildlife, which... More
