When we go to Ireland, we always go to Kilmore Quay and stay at May Bates's Harbour Lights. Meantime, it has become a home from home! The central location is nevertheless very quiet. May is a marvellous hostess who does het utmost the make her guests feel at their ease. Within reason, special wishes and requirements are graciously met.

Stayed here in St Patrick's weekend on a short coastal tour of Wexford. Only place open in Killmore Quay. Good points: Clean & central Bad points: Everything down to the drinking glasses (pink plastic cups) in the room were circa late 80's early 90's. Just felt odd. I like the give Irish B&Bs a chance to impress but this has... More

Hello, Thank you for your stay, and thank you for your review. We would like to take this opportunity to address some of your points. We use plastic cups in the ensuite bathrooms, and there are full tea and coffee making facilities with china mugs in the bedrooms. We provide a wide choice for breakfast. Our breakfast includes a choice... More

Stayed at HL for one night in early Nov. May and family were very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. My room was warm and cosy and I had an excellent shower. The breakfast the following morning was hearty and set me up for the day, which I spent meandering around the coast towards Cork. KQ is based around... More

I had a wonderful stay at this B&B. May was absolutely lovely and did me a great deal (about €5 less than the other B&B's). The house has a beautiful garden and is a short walk from everything you want to see and do in the village. Can't wait to go back here some day!

Lovely stay at this bed and breakfast, whilst with a group of photographers and the only female in the party. May looked after us all with wonderful breakfasts and was very receptive to our needs. The place to stay in this lovely part of the world.

My friend and I have stayed at Harbour Lights on two separate occasions (June and September 2012). The rooms are very comfortable offering the usual facilities for drinks, television, warmth and en-suite. There is a large sitting room for guests with lots of information leaflets to plan your day. The house is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent. Mrs Bates is a... More

May could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. The room with en suite was great. If you are visiting Kilmore Quay this is the place to stay. May will look after you.

Sometimes all you want is no surprises and a good place to sleep. This Bord Failta approved B&B is exactly that. Friendly, comfy, good bed, fairly quiet, great view out our window. We paid 70 Euro for the two of us and received good value. Good breakfast, nice chat. You could do much worse

This is a lovely B&B, very clean and comfortable and close to everything in the small town. May is a lovely lady and she makes a nice breakfast too :)
