Montichiello is a tiny village with amazing views and this B&B is the perfect place to stay. Francesco is a great host, obviously very proud of his home. Breakfast is delicious and he is very helpful with maps and ideas for exploring the area. Not far away is the famous road with the cypress trees alongside. There are 3 restaurants... More

Absolutely gorgeous location. The drive to Monticchiello was amazing and arriving at a hilltop "castle village" was more than we imagined. La Casa Di Adelina is a beautiful part of the village. The interior takes you back in time, but you have all the modern conveniences. Francesco Cresti is a wonderful host. He prepared delicious breakfasts for us and was... More

We had a choice to stay in the larger town of Montepulciano or the much smaller Monticchiello. This town was far superior to the tacky tourist feeling of Montepulciano. We stayed in the Green/Verde room at La Casa di Adelina. It was fine. The ceiling was a bit thin to the floor above but nothing too troublesome. There is no... More

We spent 7 nights at La Casa di Adelina in June, 2014. All rooms are differently designed and feel very homey. When you open the window you look over the Tuscan hills or the small village houses roofs. Francesco makes breakfast himself for every single guest - whatever you wish for. He had always time to give us tips what... More

We stayed at La casa di Adelina in June, and it was excellent. Montichiello itself is beautiful, and a great base to explore the surrounding areas. The hotel was very clean, and the service was great. Francesco was really friendly, and particularly helpful when we had an accident in our rental car, and called the hire company and the other... Monticchiello is hardly noticed among the worldwide famous Montepulciano and Pienza, but it is a great spot to start discovering the breathtaking landscapes of Unesco World Heritage Val d'Orcia. The B&B is in one of the dozen medieval buildings that shape the village. The owner Francesco told me it belonged to his family since the Renaissance! It has beautiful stone... More

I never write a review but this special and I might not get a chance to go back. So it is good other people should go. Everything said in reviews are true but they won't make sense until  you are there to feel it. There is a kind of magicness that will make you fall in love with everything there.... More

My wife and I stayed at this B&B for three nights in May, 2014. We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room or rather more like an apartment had a private entrance within the old medieval walls of the town of Monticchiello. Great photo ops. The owner and operator, Francesco, was a great cook (breakfast), very informative and so helpful.... More

This is one of the best B&Bs in which we have ever stayed. The B&B is in an ancient stone building that matches the rest of the beautiful stone hill-top town. It is owned by the family of the perfect host, Francesco; his father lives and has his art studio in the building as well. The B&B is not "rustic,"... More

So you want to see the real Tuscany right? Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza… You can easily stay in any of these places, which are utterly charmless (except Pienza), or take the completely left-field option and stay in beautiful sleepy Montichiello (population 110) with its fine church, 3 restaurants, 2 B&Bs and one of the best views of the Val D’Orcia in...
