Everything about this Agritourismo is top shelf. The setting is beautiful, the hosts are warm and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable, the grounds are gorgeous and the food is the best. Maura is a fabulous cook. Spending time at her table was like being back in my Italian extended family. Everything is made from their farm products and of course... More

location is just perfect in the middle of the toscan fields, quiet, beautiful panoramic views. the structure is a typical old style toscan house (there is also a swimming pool) the owners are the most hospitable and welcoming people. this place will make you relaxed :)

We spent 3 nights at Santa Maria as part of a 10 day Italy vacation. There were so many choices of Agriturismos in the area that is was overwhelming to chose. If you want to stay at a charming farmhouse, with a gracious host (Maura), nice rooms and beautiful grounds, look no further. Santa Maria is close by to Pienza,... More

We had stayed at an excellent hotel in Siena, but after that we wanted do something quite different. We chose Santa Maria, which is situated in the countryside, from which it was easy to reach several charming little towns in the neighbourhood. Of them we specially liked Monticchiello, We lived some days in a Tuscan farm and enjoyed it. The... More

We spent 5 nights of our three week tour in Italy at "Santa Maria" in May 2014 which turned out to be an amazing experience. Maura and Vierno were very kind hosts and took care of all of our needs. Maura has a full circle kitchen and her food had the hearty Tuscan taste which was super delicious! She introduced... More

We recently spent 3 nights and immediately felt at home. Maura and Vierno came out to greet us the minute we arrived and served us a glass of the wine they make as we settled in. They are very gracious hosts. Vierno doesn't speak English but that didn't stop him from joining in and patting my husband on the back... More

We spent a week in Podere Cunina... and about 4 weeks total in Italy. Of all the places we stayed, this was by far the best. Romantic, gorgeous, quiet, clean, and friendly. Every day was a treat: long walks, drives to neighboring small towns... a day trip to Siena. And our landlords were super helpful and friendly. And if you... More

What an amazing place! You know from the minute you look up the hill and see that beautiful farmhouse on that gorgeous hilly landscape that you've gone to the right place. Add to that the company of hosts Maura and Virno, who make everyone feel welcome no matter where they're from or what language they speak. To top it off,... More

Look no further for one of the best Agritourismo's in Tuscany. Owners Maura and Vierno simply go out of their way to make your stay here one of the most memorable vacations of your life. Practically everything is grown or raised on the farm that you eat, the family is incredible, the wine plentiful, dinner is 3 to 4 hours,... More

Please don't stay here. Because, if you do, this hidden gem in the midst of the beautiful southern Tuscan countryside may not remain undiscovered for long. This was easily the most impressive agriturismo we stayed at during our trip to Tuscany and Umbria in September 2013, and while we don't usually return to somewhere we've been before, we will make...
