We planned a stop here on a Saturday afternoon walk for a bit of lunch and a drink. The venue was not what I was expecting at all. We arrived just as a rain storm arrived and imagine my surprise when the front bar had been converted into a spare bedroom. I am all for new concepts but I took... More

Went for Sunday lunch for a 40th birthday party for 17 people, but only 16 got fed - food order got messed up. Staff are young and haven't got a clue. Food is over priced for what you actually get (Sunday lunch without veg) so would not recommend this pub. Better off going to the road side cafe on the... More

7 of us booked an evening meal, but was a bit worried by some of the reviews I had read - however, we had a brilliant evening and all said how good the food was. The atmosphere was just right and the staff were excellent - very friendly and very helpful.

Went on Mother's Day, ordered a vegetarian roast and was served up a couple of luke warm veggie burgers. This place has gone downhill extremely quick since the change of ownership. Complaint to owner was unanswered

I have been visiting the Kings Arms for over 40 years. About three years ago a new owner took over and it was excellent for the first couple of years, but then went downhill. Hearing that it had new owners we called in a couple of weeks ago, shortly after it had re-opened. What a disappointment. You'd have thought that... More

We popped in to the Kings Arms as we heard the it had recently been taken over by a new land lord and what a fantastic surprise. Scott and his team instantly made us feel extremely welcome even in our walking boots, we got a beer and Scott the new Landlord filled a dog bowl for our Springer who lay... More

Spoke to the landlady as we we're going to be a party of 16, said she would email over the menu and we would be very well looked after... No menu until saturday night, by which time was too late to... More

We tried the restaurant yesterday and it was absolutely great. My husband was a butcher for over 16 years and is very fussy about the quality of meat served. He was amazed and extremely please that we have found a gem for sunday lunch. The new owners were very welcoming and we expressed how please we were with the quality... More

Came for one night and stayed for 2! The pub has very recently undergone a complete change of ownership and chef. We were given a very warm Somerset welcome by the new owners Colin and Sharon. The chef has designed a menu based on a daily fresh sheet ..locally supplied and seasonal. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing.He... More
