Our best stay so far in India. Beautiful cottages & gardens, lovely people and food and great backwaters (500r per person) and local rickshaw tours (400r per person). Staff also organized rickshaw a to local evening festival in countryside. Nice mellow neighbourhood with super friendly & genuine locals too. Very recommended!

Had no plans to stay in Kollam but just stopped because we were tired coming from Alleppey. Found this villa as number 1 in kollam. Called & found a room easily as it was off season there. The moment I entered, I was stunned looking at the beauty & the location of this place. We initially thought we will stay... More

My only dissapointment was we couldn't stay longer, we stayed here for one night in our travels around Kerala and it couldn't have been more perfect. We were greeted by Joseph and staff who couldn't have been more attentive and helpful and made our stay really comfortable. The location overlooks Ashtamudi Lake and the villas garden is really well kept... More

Great location over looking a lake, with a great team of staff. The host was was really helpful letting us no about local attractions and organising transport for us, a great help! The rooms were very nice and comfortable and the fan was powerful so did not need air condition. The garden was also great to relax and food was... More

Stayed for three nights with two whole days to explore. The cottages are very comfortable both inside and out. First afternoon we just flopped about in the garden. Next day, Prabath arranged a backwater trip for us. This was very relaxing although getting to the canoe by taxi was not. Felt our lives were under threat when the taxi boarded... More

Unfortunately, I could spend only a day and a night here because it was booked out. But boy, what a day. I was lucky enough to get the stand-alone cottage and it was gob-smackingly beautiful. A lovely porch with cute-looking chairs, then a well-maintained garden strewn with hammocks, followed by the achingly beautiful Ashtamudi Lake. There were splendid sitting areas... More

We really enjoyed staying here. The cottages are wonderfully designed each with their own terrace area which overlooks and lovely garden and then the lake. Joseph was a great host and has created a unique place that is relaxing to spend time in. All credit to him. We very much enjoyed his recommended canoe trip through the backwaters as well.... More

Ashtamudi Villas Resort was recommended to us by our friend and, thanks to her, we spent the two relaxing days there. What a beautiful, peaceful, and silent place! Prabhath is an excellent host. He arranged the transportation for us, scheduled a private tour to the Monroe Island and backwaters, gave us coupons to the sunset course and the massages to... More

We stayed for four nights. There are pros and cons: Pros: The rooms are delightful. They are very well thought out and a pleasure. Large enough with plenty of room to put packs and clothes. The bathrooms are generous with many nice little features, including a sunken shower floor section to restrict water covering the entire bathroom floor like most... More
