In a lot of people's minds 'tent' = basic. Just forget this notion as it applies here. These big individual tents are furnished in a fully equivalent fashion to a posh hotel room. Each as a large and well equipped bath that is built as a permanent structure seemlessly integrated into one side of the tent bedroom. Each of the... More

It was last year that my husband and I spent three days at this amazing property. It's hard to find such personalized service and an experience, which leaves you spoilt and spell-bound. We are very thankful to the lovely staff, especially a gentleman called Laduji (not sure if he's still there) for treating us like royalty and taking care of... More

We stayed two nights at Rohet Wilderness Camp, using it as a base to visit Jodhpur, a short distance away. Check-in was done at Rohet Garh, a heritage hotel at the center of the village. We were then driven at the edge of the Great Thar Desert to the "Camp", in fact six luxurious marquees, each equipped with comfortable hard... More

Rohet garb group consists of three hotels: one is the Rohet Garh heritage hotel in Rohet (with an average not circulating swimming pool in a very secluded thus hot area). Then there is the Wilderness Camp and there is Mihir Garh, both at 12 km distance into the countryside. Wilderness camp sounds brave! The name contains high expectations about wild... More

This was a highlight of our trip. The camp is more luxurious than most hotels, the staff are super-friendly and the peaceful setting make this a very romantic place to spend some time. We fell asleep gazing at stars and woke up next morning to the sound of doves. It was an unforgettable experience.

The stay at Rohet was the highlight of our 10 day sojourn through Rajasthan. The tented camp is beautifully laid out, the food was wonderful and the evening fireplace a lovely way to unwind. Despite the cold wave sweeping through the desert we were well protected with our electric blankets. I would recommend an early morning ride on Marwari horses... More

We stayed here 2 nights and wished we had stayed much longer. The tents are luxuriously equipped, the peace and quiet in the semi-desert is so relaxing, the service-with-a-(big)-smile of the staff is wonderful. The food is brought across from the approx. 1km distant , luxurious related Mihir Gahr hotel where you can also walk to for a swim or... More

Here's how it works. You arrive at Rohetgahr, a lovely old hotel beloved of elderly European coach parties with a nice pool and gracious gardens. From here you may be transported through remote country either to the exotic, luxurious Mihir Gahr hotel, or to the little tented Wilderness Camp, which we did. And we just loved it. The tents are... We spent one night here after driving through the wild semi arid stretch near Jodhpur, home to the Bishnoi tribe and the endangered black buck, saw plenty of them as well as nil gai and a flight of Siberian crane! The camp is luxurious to say the least, the service superlative, the smiles of the staff just make your stay even... More

Enjoyed our stay in these tented camps, and in particular the fantastic service and waking up to a million bird sounds all around our camp! I would highly recommend the guided tour of the villages and to see the local wildlife. Otherwise, just sit back relax with a sundowner and enjoy the view! Keep in mind though that while the... More
