Mihirgarh is a beautiful property with excellent food, service and attention to detail. The food and village safari were included and were highlights of our stay. The beds were sublimely comfortable and I had the best sleep. Marwari horses are exclusive to Rajasthan and horse rides are offered and recommended for experienced riders only. Despite all the riders being experienced,... More

We came into Mihirgarh, parched and tired from a long drive from Udaipur. This sand-like fortress stood like an oasis in the dry scrub desert. As we walked by the temple we entered a sea of calm. Our experience, from the delicious welcome drink to chicken roulade and mashed potatoes dinner by the embellished fireplace, were nothing short of marvelous.... More

I travelled to Mihirgarh recently and my experience was so beautiful. The Fort like edifice impresses at first sight. The super comfortable bed,and the delightful private plunge pool in the room.... WOW just WOW. The decor of the rooms in typical rajasthani style with the vibrant colors of the rajasthani life and textiles is simply so awesome. The views of... More

Having stayed at The Serai outside Jaisalmer the previous night, Mihir Garh pales in comparison. The property is out in the middle of nowhere which most guests would likely have known and purposely chosen when booking the hotel. The building is interesting and well-designed with all nine of the suites affording much privacy and lots of nooks and crannies around... More

This is certainly a beautiful property, with beautifully furnished public areas and stunning suites. The location is gorgeous, with the shared infinity pool looking out over the desert, and providing a wonderful opportunity for relaxation in the middle of hectic tours of Rajasthan. We loved the jeep tour to the local Bishnoi village, the opium ceremony and short local wildlife... More

If you want to chill in the middle of the Rajasthan countryside come to the Mihir Garh. View the sunset on the roof top terrace with a Gin and Tonic. Perfect. Thanks to Bharat for his attentive front of house service. The food is some of the best in we have had in India, fresh and delicious. The candle lit... More

The whole package is here perfect; only 9 rooms (our daughter loved their private plunge pool); great service (Omar tanks again) and great food and great Trips. Every night the owners come to say hello and for the rest it is a place in heaven; quiet in the middle of no where and pure enjoyment.

Everything about Mihirgarh is an experience in itself. Its located in middle of nowhere like an oasis. Its beautifully imagined and designed. Rooms are of excellent size and feels very earthen and tranquil. We had a room with a plunge pool overlooking expanse of barren land with sparse trees which is a welcome change from urban concretes. There's a horse... More

Lived up to expectations, beautiful room, excellent service but the best part is the location, very quiet and relaxing. Did the Village Safari and horse riding which were both memorable experiences. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Your approach to this reconstruction of a desert fort is a wondrous sight. The fort was built employing the local people and building materials with personally designed furnishings. This fort made of mud and daub in the desert is an experience especially as the sun went down and we drank our gins and tonic. Early on we had seen wild... More
