I live in California, so the desert is not new to me and it wasn't what drew me to Mihir Garh -- It was the horses. The owners are breeders of Marwari's, which have a rich history going back to the Rajput warriors and are featured in the arts/crafts/antiques of Rajasthan. I love riding and I looked forward to spending... More

The owners of Mihir Garh have personally designed everything at the property down to the tiniest detail. Their devotion to their project shows throughout this beautiful hotel. We had the most wonderful stay, the rooms are out of this world, the food great, the staff attentive and helpful. The spa is a sanctuary. And the most incredible location.... leaving was... More

After a hair raising connection in Delhi airport necessitating us running through the diplomatic channel to make our connecting flight to Jodhpur we finally arrived at Mihir Garh. Wow! It was like arriving in paradise. The best suite of rooms by far on our whole trip and we stayed at amazing places throughout. The service was excellent and once we'd... More

Hats off to the creator of this magical sanctuary... My wife and I spent a few nights at this unique boutique hotel...taking a break from our very busy 1 month Indian odyssey...it was worth every dollar...(S-3 is a fantastic suite). There is very little to do in the area...we appreciated doing nothing for a few days. Their Village Safari program... More

This was the second desert-based, small hotel we stayed in during our mini-grand tour of India; the other was The Serai near Jaisalmer, which I have also reviewed. The initial impression of the Mihir is very positive - excellently designed buildings, nice paths and shrubs, nice communal areas, and our room had its own plunge pool. If you're a keen... More

This hotel is simply stunning. It is well designed with luxury and tranquility at it's heart. The personal touch comes every night in the form of the owners speaking to each table in the restaurant. They are so concerned that your stay is perfect. The staff are very attentive and nothing seems too much trouble. There is a trip available... More

During our 25 day Rajasthan trip we learned a lot about Indian hotel business. So most hotels charge european prices with indian service and quality - which means 4 star rating and prices with 1 or 2 star level concerning rooms and service. In 25 days we only met three hotels with a clean table cloth (!!!) And we did... More

My husband and I stayed at Mihir Garh in early October 2012 and loved our stay. It was rather early in the season so we were the only ones at the property. We were upgraded to a bigger suite with a private lap pool looking out to the fields. The place was just absolutely beautiful, charming little nooks where one... More

A very luxurious place with only nine suites built in the middle of the desert. The suites are huge, some of them up to 300 square meters. Each suite has its own patio and swimming pool on the terrace. The decoration is wonderful and the bathrooms are very spacious. We were the only guests in that week end of december... More

We visited Mihigarh in Nov 2012 and wished that we had an additional night! Awesome place- with no citylights visible at night!! The suites are spacious and very tastefully done by the Owners themselves, the food was scrumptious and the Chef took a lot of care in providing gluten free meals for my mom. The service was excellent and the... More
