This was probably one of the most spectacular trips ever. The Juma Lodge is really beautiful, the hammocks make it cozy and the wildlife special. We could feed a parrot and monkeys. We saw pink dolphins and sloths. The guide and his driver were super nice, found almost every animal for us and made a lot of fun. The food is... More

All information on their web site accurately described the lodge and services. My expectations were exceeded. The staff was excellent. Everyone provided a high level of customer service. Food was great! Group guide Enrique Sanchez and guide boat driver, Jonilson, were the best!! Did the 3 day/4 night package. Was there during the World Cup. A TV was set up... More

I visited Juma on 5 June this year for 3 nights. Having confirmed my arrival times I was picked up at Manaus airport and transported by van to the dock, then boat, crossing the meeting of the rivers, followed by another drive and a final boat ride. Traveling to and from the lodge is an integral part of the experience.... More

The trip to the hotel passes by the meeting of the waters which was a great letdown and nothing out of the ordinary. After a van trip you take another boat to the hotel. Some beautiful photo shots on the way with coloured trees reflexions in the water and shimering light.Accomodationnis in huts on stilts with electricity fan and cold... More

Room is a comfortable treehouse. Location beautiful. Our guide was fantastic. Stayed 2 nights 3 days which was perfect. Food is good. Rooms can be hot but have ceiling fans...not a problem for me but some other guests could not sleep. No mosquitos !

At the Juma Lodge you really feel like you are DEEP in the Amazon Forest. My cabin/palapa actually rested on stilts over a flooded tributary of the Amazon. Our guide, Leon, took us on amazing hikes into the forest to see the tremendous biological diversity in the forest, and even out on the river to fish for Piranha (which was... More

Wonderful accommodation, fun excursions, knowledgeable guides. Remote yet comfortable. Food was plentiful and delicious. All around great experience. Be sure to ask the guides what clothing you need for each excursion.

Because Juma's schedule runs on a 4 day cycle, you can get a good picture of your activities from looking at their website and reading other Tripadvisor reviews My tips: bring one of those high-tech sweat-rags (i got one at REI and it was amazing the amount of moisture that thing could suck up), bring a small flashlight or headlamp,... Fantastic lodge in the middle of nowhere. Quaint, basic but clean/sufficient accommodations with good privacy and facilities. If you're looking for a luxury hotel in the middle of the Amazon, you're headed to the wrong destination. Food was superb, even getting to eat the fish we caught ourselves earlier in the day. Excursions were excellent with a nice balance of... More

I had chosen Juma based on a good friend's glowing recommendation, and I was not disappointed. The location is beautiful, the property is well maintained (I was in love the the hammock), and the staff is helpful and friendly. A few things you should know: (1) there is no mobile network coverage or internet, so once you are there you... More
