We arrived at this centrally located hotel in Kastamonu during a tour with Peregrine. When the guide jokingly said the toilet was in a cupboard, we thought he was joking but it's true! Inside each room, there is a large cupboard which contains a wash basin, toilet and shower. It smells and, to cover it up, mothballs have been placed... More

We stayed here as part of a tour . The rooms were enormous with high ceilings. The bathroom was hidden in what we first thought was a wardrobe. We enjoyed the space as we were previously in a very small room on a previous night. The breakfast was satisfactory but not the best we have had in Turkey due to... More

We are 2 middle aged women who have travelled extensively, but we felt uncomfortable for our entire stay here of 4 days. Turkish guests seemed very happy to be here, but we found management rude & felt most unwelcome. Basic facilities were definitely lacking ... rooms were musty, daily servicing only happened when we asked, I went 2 days without... More

Stayed one night as part of a tour. Room was very big, with very high ceilings. Unfortunately could hear noise from room above. Staff did not speak much English but tried to help as much as possible. Female staff carried heavy luggage from bus up stairs while men did not assist. Very basic Turkish breakfast which was served in a... More

Huge, atmospheric rooms, traditional furniture and architecture, carefully restored. Below the castle at the end of a quiet street, ancient hamam opposite, 5 minute walk to the historic centre. Decent restaurant, courtyard cafe in summer, helpful and friendly management.

We booked in to stay here 2 nights but left after 1 (still paying for the 2). Hotel room was unbelievably huge, with massive ceilings. Very impressive building. Unfortunately we did not feel welcome. Apart from one young girl who brought tea up to our room, the staff seemed unhappy & basically unfriendly. The glare I received from an older... More

We stop in Kastamonu in our way to Black Sea Coast, the hotel is a perfectly restored Ottoman Palace(the hotel name’s meaning), nice rooms, very friendly staff(even no much English at night time but they manage to makes you feel well), wonderful breakfast, private parking. There are some tables outside in the garden perfect for a summer dinner, wifi everyhere.... More
