I have passed this establishment every weekend for years but for some reason never ventured in. However I have been hearing a lot of very good reports and was unaware until todays visit that it was the Daily Post North Wales pub of the year 2014 and very deservedly so. So I took a gamble and booked father's day lunch... More

My husband and I called in for a drink and decided to eat there the following evening. We chose two courses from the Early bird menu. The food was excellent and very good value for money. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go there again if we were in the area

We were staying at Pontins and just happened to see the name of this pub and thought we would give it a try. Inside the pub lounge itself it's quite small but the restaurant is at the back of the building. It's cozy, the staff are helpful and the food is amazing. It is all home cooked and there is... More

Great pub just across from the Church in Meliden. Really nice food and a good selection of well kept ales. The landlord and landlady were in that night and they were exceptionally helpful and knowledgable about the area and its attractions. Very helpful staff in general.

Went for a meal at The Red Lion in Meliden today as we were celebrating our 44th Wedding Anniversary. We hadn't been there for a few years so it made a good change as the 3 course meal was delightful. This was well presented and plenty with the most Gigantic Yorkshire Pudding that we have ever seen! All for the... More

My room cost £39 and every thing that I required, including plenty of space. If it had cost £139 I would have griped about certain aspects, however as I remark in my review title 'it really is all relevant .The bathroom may be a little bit tired but at this price and the price of the food , it's difficult...
