Wow. I did not know what exactly to expect when I visited George Molfetas museum hotel in Faraklata. What I had planned was a relaxing getaway with my mademoiselle. I had hope to find somewhere charming, romantic, & one of a kind. I was not disappointed. I searched on the internet for such a place on Kefallonia. I discovered George... More

My friend and I read all the reviews and thought surely this is too good to be true... BUT it's not... This is an amazing retreat in the hills of Kefalonia...It is quirky and charming filled with amazing artefacts and crammed with history...But what makes it so special is the personal link the artefacts have with Katerina...and she and Barry... There are no words to frame all the sentiments that flow within me when I read reviews like this. I feel the enormity of responsibility to make more people happy and rejuvenated and "spoilt" but then, in this I find the true meaning of my existense. I am serious! When I consived the idea of the "George Molfetas" I thought... More

We knew right from the start, as soon as Katerina and Barry came out of the front door to greet us that this would be unlike any other hotel experience : simply because we felt more like being at home than in a hotel (even though one gets all the comfort and privacy of a 5-star hotel). Katerina's impeccable sense... More

Dear Yagos and friends, I was so touched to read your review about your stay at my "baby". I had a feeling that I did not see you enough, I did not have a chance to do all that I can do for my friends, but at least I felt that you had a good time. With your review, however,... More

This is one of the most unusual places I have ever reviewed for Tripadvisor. The value of this place is the absolutely fantastic food that Katherina cooks (the best food we have eaten in Greece), as well as the emotional personal relationship one develops with the owners of the hotel, Katherina and Berry. In this respect, to me, this is... More

I am so sorry that you were disappointed and felt that your stay at my little "hide away" was not what you thought it to be. I have already made all the necessary changes at the scheme of the presentation of my rooms with Expedia so that people who book the twin room will Not expect to find themselves in... More

This was our second visit to this little gem of a hotel and we plan on returning again next year. Katerina and Barry excelled themselves yet again and made our stay truly memorable. I cannot add anything more to what has been said before but we feel as though we have had tender loving care therapy after a holiday here,... More

If you want your stay in Kefalonia to be special and something to treasure then this is just the place. You will be greeted by the beautiful, warm and welcoming smiles of Katerina and Barry. You will get peace, tranquility, food that is full of flavour and made with much love, great conversation, music, flowers, church bells, swallows, pet dogs... More

Dearest friends, to day is the first day that we are officially closed for the winter and I was looking forward all the while to catch a few minutes to thank you for your review at the Trip advisor. More and more, however, to thank you for your wonderful frame of phottographs which is stitting comfortably on the bar in... More

We found Molfetas almost by accident and we're so glad we did. Katerina has made a beautiful place even more beautiful and added amazing food and excellent furnishing and decor along with it. Its small, quiet, beautiful - just what we hoped and more. Many thanks!

It's hard to say anything different to all the others reviews, as I agree with everything that's already been written. This is such a special, wonderful place to stay. Hotel Museum George Molfetas feels like a secret waiting to be discovered. The sort of place you can’t wait to tell your friends about. Spread the word. “You really must stay here!” Concealed up a narrow lane beside the church in Faraklata hidden behind a heavy wooden door you will find a delightful sanctuary of such rare charm. The allure... More

We were for days thinking and discussing the fascinating morning before you left: we could have stayed for ever and talk, talk about so many things! It seemed unreal that we had just met some days ago. So much of common ground-even Wales, would you believe!!!! We thank you with our minds and souls for the lovely times we had... More
