A fantastic hotel to start a holiday off. A wonderful driveway leads to a stunning exterior with remarkable views. The rooms are very atmospheric and whilst one might say they are a tiny bit dated this reviewer much preferred the decor to cutting edge chic which can be very hit or miss. We stayed here in October and we both agree that we wouldn't stay here again. The best I can say is that the outside doesn't match the inside. It is breathtaking as you drive up -- no doubt. The lobby is a little over done -- too commercial. Our room was disappointing. Tired furnishings. Lousy hair dryer in the bathroom.... more

Chateau D'Artigny seems to evoke mixed reviews--all the way from "most wonderful hotel ever" to "way overpriced and I'd never go back." We loved this chateau. Our room was in the main building. It was clean and large and decorated in a vintage pattern fabric, with a small plasma TV and antique furniture.
