The lodge is in the middle of nowhere so it is appropriately priced. The "bathrooms down the hall" was not too bad BUT it is VERY noisy. The floors are wooden and creak and everyone slams doors and walks right by your window (with your head 3" away) while on their way to breakfast chatting. If you don't plan on... More

Dear Kelplady, Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your experience. To minimize the sound in the Main Lodge, we ask all of our Guests to respect the quiet hours of 10:30pm to 7am. For sensitive sleepers, we recommend rooms on the second floor of the Main Lodge or the second floor of the South Wing. Thanks again... More

We did not actually stay at the lodge but we did eat lunch on the front porch. Amazing food and awesome views as well as great service from the wait staff. They were able to totally accomodate us and it was such a beautiful day, we lingered in the sunshine and just totally relaxed! A truly subliminal experience.

We stayed at Kennicott Glacier Lodge from 8-11 August, 2014. The first two nights we had a shared bathroom, but everything was very clean and even though it was really busy, there was hardly any waiting time for the showers because they had some good rules (5 min. for a shower) that everybody followed. The third night we changed rooms... More

Rooms are tiny but adequate. It's a small price to pay for being able to enjoy some of the lodge's incredible food in the gorgeous town of Kennecott. I highly recommend making the time to come to Kennecott and stay at the Kennicott Glacier Lodge. (I don't recommend making time to go to the nearly town of McCarthy.)

The staff was so incredible!!! They were helpful, nice and willing to go the extra mile to help their guests!!! The dinner was fun to sit with other people that were staying there. I would like to thank one of the ladies for going out of her way and sending me postcards that I forgot to get!! I mean amazing... More

We really enjoyed our stay in the lodge. We stayed in the main building with the shared bathroom facilities. As another reviewer mentioned, there are only a few bathrooms on the upper floor and there are 18 rooms. But one evening when I was waiting for the shower a staff person came by and told me that there were more... More

I really liked this place in spite of its drawbacks. First the rooms in the main building have Internet access but shared bathrooms, whereas the rooms in the new building have private bathrooms but no Internet access. Second, it remains fundamentally a fairly standard American lodge. But it has a lot of character and warmth. It is also in a... More

A wonderful, unique hotel that I will never forget. There is a long veranda at the front with chairs to sit and admire the view. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Wifi available. The meals are delicious with the evening meal served family style and buffet breakfast. There was so much meat in the packed lunch we had to... More

This lodge is at a remote, beautiful location in the Wrangell St. Elias park. Their shuttle picks you up from your plane or car. The receptionist (Mary) was very friendly and always helpful. The rooms in the south wing are very spacious and have their own bathrooms. Dinner (extra cost) was excellent from start to finish. It was an all... More

We stayed two nights in this uniquely charming, isolated lodge. As other reviewers have observed it is indeed quaint and friendly. However, compared with other (admittedly not quite so) isolated National Park lodges it has a couple of significant flaws. First, there are 18 double rooms on the second floor of the main lodge sharing 2 showers and 3 toilets.... More

Dear afcok, Thank you for visiting Kennicott Glacier Lodge and for taking the time to share your thoughts and suggestions. We are glad that you found the lodge to be charming and friendly.
