After reading many negative reviews of this property I really was prepared NOT to like it BUT I did. Checkin required queuing up but it went along fairly quickly. We had a very nice front desk agent who it turned out upgraded us to an atrium room (not one with a balcony). I asked if it would be noisy and... More

Good - Great staff, they go out of their way to make you happy. Hotel is well maintained with good service. Harbor is very nice with many shops and places to eat. Great Piano Bar Restaurant, lots of fun, highly recommend. Recommend the ferry to Alexandria, VA, many shops and restaurants but again, the ferry is expensive. Bad - Very... More

Enormous facilty adjacent to a huge entertainment complex. Lot's to do at the Gaylord and it's an easy 15 minute cab/shuttle ride downtown to DC's attractions. It's worth staying at just to see this place. My daughter was in awe, and we had a great time.

We went as a group of 5 families taking advantage of the resort's Dreamworks Experience package during Mem Day weekend. Meet & Greet with Dreamworks characters from Shrek (Mr and Mrs), Madagascar (Alex, Gloria, that silly king) and Kung Fu panda including opportunity for taking your own photos with the characters. Also included was breakfast with the characters. Resort was... More

I came here for a three day conference in May 2012. The room was fantastic. I had a king bed. The bed was comfortable and had an abundance of pillows. I also liked the fact that we had a fridge, 2 "free" waters (included in your resort fee) and a coffee maker in the room. The room was very clean... More

The Gaylord National is huge, clean and well run. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the atrium area is stunning. Except for in the sports bar, the staff goes out of their way to greet you and interact. While the view across the river is nice, the location is a bit isolated. Access to a car will improve your... The Gaylord National is an oasis. I've spent 39 years in downtown DC during Memorial Week - and the last two years at the Gaylord National. While I miss all the amenities of being in the city, The Gaylord National provides easy access to the surrounding area. It's located in a safe residential area and provides everything one needs to... This is a great venue for a conference. Right off I-95 outside of Washington, DC and quite self contained. This is a massive complex on par with any Las Vegas hotel. (I'm a bit annoyed that they have a fountain display in the lobby that is a rip-off of the Ballagio). There were at least three major conferences going on... More

Was here for a convention. Odd location, i guess they will just keep building around it, but the National Harbor isn't really national or really a harbor. The Gaylord has lots of nice, big, open public space. But no free wifi (while the streets outside DO have free wifi) and $4 Starbucks machines made me feel like I was in... More

Nice hotel but i would only stay here if there is a conferance. The area has lots of restaurants that are a walking distance away.
