The Gaylord National was a wonderful place to stay for a DC area visit. It has a nice atmosphere and all of the employees were very friendly and helpful. The only downside is how large it is. You can easily get lost in it and if you have a room overlooking the atrium it is very noisy and hard to... More

Although the hotel and customer service was good, this hotel's objective is "nothing is free"...for a $200 regular room, plus added fees $15 for the resort, $30 tax and $50 incidential charge "in case you use their phone, room service, etc." that takes 7 days to be refunded. They added parking for $25, we took a cab, nothing is complimentary,... More

I recently stayed here for a convention for 3 nights. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport. Check-in was smooth and easy. I was given a room on the 16th floor (I think there are 17 or 18)...I had a great view of the harbor and the sunset. The rooms were renovated, nice, clean and spacious. The hotel... More

We came across the birthday special--2nd night free--and decided to go check it out. Everyone we came into contact with was very polite. Easy check in. Clean room with good amenities. Loved having the atrium balcony. Felt like we were on a cruise ship--a good thing for our tastes. Only ate in one restaurant: Old Hickory Steakhouse which was expensive... More

Opulent resort! Beautiful glass atrium and lovely common areas both inside and out. I attended the "I can do it" conference here this past weekend but did not stay at the hotel so I cannot comment on the rooms. But the convention center facilities were top notch and staff very friendly. As with any large resort, the food is super... More

I have been to some OK hotels in Dallas and Vegas that have good accommodations for trade shows but this place makes trade shows fun. It feels like a super nice version of an Embassy Suites. Cool little coffee and food places down in the indoor courtyard and plenty of places to grab a beer. Big and scenic. The rooms... More

This is a convention hotel and you sure feel that if you go as a family. It is very expensive as are the food choices in and outside of the hotel. Also service at most of the places around the National Harbor is awful. The Gaylord does have nice facilities-- pleasant places in the atrium to sit and relax, a... More

Hosting a training meeting? This place has it all...If you and your team need to spend several days at an offsite location, this hotel should be at the top of your list. Not only is the location great but so is the service. You are greeted with smiles and hospitality.

Brief summary: 1) Rooms were dirty - mold in shower, balcony had cigarette butts and trash on it. God only know what germs were lurking that I could not see. (This room was $200 per night) 2) I sent and email and pictures about the condition of the room to the Gaylord Customer Service a week ago and I still... More
