We stayed in Hanoras Cottage for 2 nights. Mary and her staff were warm and welcoming. Food was fantastic, homemade, delicious and lots of it!!! yummy!!! and after a long and beautiful guided walk in the Comeragh Mountains what more could you want before dinner but a soak in a Jacuzzi! luxury! 11 of us stayed and we all thoroughly... Advance reservation worked fine and would we hoped ensure a warm reception at this acclaimed restaurant and guesthouse. Our arrival after a nearby hillwalk appeared to take the staff by surprise until they no so graciously acknowledged that the reservation had been made. There followed a series of omissions in service which left us wondering if non residents can enjoy... More

Food was delicious. We could hardly fit it all in. Breakfast...like no other....memorable...and always served with a smile. Thanks to Mary for... More

For a long time I have wanted to stay at Hanora's Cottage and finally I made it recently. Sometimes reality fails to meet expectations, but that certainly was not the case on this occasion. The setting is beautiful, nestled between the mountains and oh so tranquil. I received a lovely welcome from Ina who served a lovely afternoon tea and... More

We've just enjoyed an all-too-short one night break at Hanora's Cottage on Midsummer 's Day. After a most genuine welcome we were shown to our room where the comforting sound of the babbling waters of the river made for an amazing backdrop to our beautiful room. Tea/Coffee/Muffins were offered & gratefully accepted on the Terrace. Dinner was glorious, unhurried &... More

Thank you very much for your lovely review of Hanoras Cottage. It was, and still is, glorious weather. It was delightful to have guests dining on the deck by the river. Hopefully, it will be repeated many times during the next couple of months! We hope to have you with us again soon. Mary & all at Hanoras. More
