We have just returned from our 6th visit to Boisfontaine and we have stayed in all the rooms on different occasions and the Gite too when there were 12 in our party, 3 couples in the Gite and 3 couples in the B&B. Barbara and Paul are exceptional hosts and will do their utmost for you to enjoy your stay... More

We stayed 1 night and wish it could have been 2. Twin room for my son & Mum and my husband and I had the Brick room. Beautiful view. Modern decor and lovely comfy beds. Bed linen smelt fresh and the bathroom towels were large and fluffy. New bathroom with super shower. Yummy cereals, fresh fruit, croissant and pain au... More

Boisfontaine is positioned at one end of this linear shaped historic town. Great for the ramparts, but a little distant from main shopping, bar/restaurant areas.Excellent for access in and out of the town without having to drive through the very narrow and busy quay side road. Access to parking is convenient, Place de Jeu de Battoir car park is almost... More

Stayed one night in the Yellow Room which is situated at the top of the house with large picture windows overlooking the garden and river estury beyond. Room is well appointed with a small single room leading off the main room. Decent sized bathroom with a double sink and shower. Breakfast is around a large table - fruit, cereal, baguette,... More

First time in St. Valery sur Somme and we planned a stop there after motoring down from Worcestershire ... great choice ! We had parking close by and the 'yellow room' in the top of the house had a view of the river and the gardens and caught the morning sun perfectly from the large picture window. First class bathroom... More

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 night stay here. The house is lovely and Paul and Barbara are great hosts. We stayed in the 'Yellow' room and it was superb with the bonus of great views. Breakfast (continental) was also excellent. Why is French bread so wonderful? Looking forward to going back.

We stayed here two nights during a visit to walk across the bay of the Somme. The English couple who run it have imported all the best aspects of British B&B practice: tea and coffee making in the room (the first time for us in a French B&B), plus proper tea and proper marmalade for breakfast (along with, it goes... The owners and the excellent facilities together with local attractions gave us a thoroughly relaxing holiday. The small, but perfectly formed, Herbarium is very close; the promenade runs by the edge of the garden; the old town walls overlook the hotel; the local narrow-gauge railway (old steam and diesel engines) is nearby with trips round the bay to Le Crotoy;... This little hotel was just great for a one night stop over in St. Valery which is a lovely little place. the room was spotlessly clean and very modern - a real bonus. The bedding was of a high quality and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast the next day overlooking the huge garden and through to the river was... More

I have stayed in Boisfontaine a number of times now and would highly recommend this lovely B&B. Perfect spot overlooking the bay close to the town and with wonderful walks along the prom. The rooms are well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities and a delicious and substantial breakfast each morning. Hosts Paul and Barbara are so welcoming. I... More
