Three circuits round the front of Saint Valery gave us a feel for the area but not for the right turn that was supposed to lead us to the hotel. Eventually we had the sense to use the very clear map the hotel had sent with our booking confirmation. As soon as we got out of the car, a friendly... More

Les Corderies is a lovely hotel with very professional but friendly staff. The rooms were large and simply but tastefully decorated - and we had great views of the bay. It was really quiet although only a few minutes walk down to the town - which was incredibly sleepy on a March Monday and Tuesday. The pool is small but... More

My wife and I stayed there recently, we got there early but no rooms ready so we walked into the pretty village to discover it was pretty much closed (Tuesday). Getting to the hotel was a bit of a mare as a couple of roads closed and you have to use roads that look like lanes and the hotel is... More

Well appointed hotel in the lovely village of St. Valery sur Somme. Only an hours drive from Calais so very accessible for a weekend. Modern, warm and welcoming with a FABULOUS spa (Spa Marmaris). We were there at the beginning of December so were able to enjoy the Christmas market and all things French. Great food, comfy beds really nothing... More

Large, clean and tidy room. Would have been nice to have had softer chairs instead of 'designer' metal ones and would have been nice to have had a proper table. However, well designed in that the toilet is separate from the shower room. Very close walking distance to the town. Great views from the spa itself. A little luxury worth... More

Rarely has a restaurant offered such an awful combination of bad food, bad service, expensive prices and snobbery. The chef tries to be innovative but the dishes are a disaster. Scallops cooked on hot stones stay raw. Chocolate mousse with cumin and salt doesn't work. Fellow diners complaints fell on deaf ears. Foie gras laced with salt. Avoid at all... More

Having visited the lovely town of St Valery sur-Somme before we decided to stay at this hotel overnight on our way back to Calais. The young man on reception was very pleasant, offered to help with the luggage and showed us to our room. Very large room overlooking the bay and large comfortable bed but the room was rather clinical.... More

We have spent one weekend in Les Corderies. It is a very nice hotel with amazing view on the baie. Hotel is modern and elegant. It has pool and spa which are very much appreciated when the weather is not very nice :). However, when the weather is nice and warm as we had over our weekend, air conditioning could... More

Les Corderies is a very nice place to stay in St Valery sur Somme. Although located on St Valery heights, we're 3/5 mn walk to downtown and the bay and no more than 10/15mn from the historical center. Warning and advices: - Rooms are quite small athough very well arranged but there is much space for clothes and their system... More

This boutique hotel has a unique and amazing situation on the top of St Valery with great views over the Somme estuary. The chef prepares fresh and different dishes. The rooms are modern and reflect the surrounding countryside colours. The staff while helpful were a trifle cool and the lack of translated menus suggested that perhaps foreign visitors are not...
