Les Corderies is a very nice place to stay in St Valery sur Somme. Although located on St Valery heights, we're 3/5 mn walk to downtown and the bay and no more than 10/15mn from the historical center. Warning and advices: - Rooms are quite small athough very well arranged but there is much space for clothes and their system... More

This boutique hotel has a unique and amazing situation on the top of St Valery with great views over the Somme estuary. The chef prepares fresh and different dishes. The rooms are modern and reflect the surrounding countryside colours. The staff while helpful were a trifle cool and the lack of translated menus suggested that perhaps foreign visitors are not... Hotel is nicely situated above the town on the headland with stunning views of the estuary. The parking is tricky in St Valery so handy that the hotel has a good size carpark. Positives Our room was enormous. It was in the main building on the ground floor and easily took in an extra bed for our daughter. It overlooked... More

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Normandy. The area is absolutely stunning as the Baie de la Somme is one big estuary and marshland. We chose a 'fantastic' room, located some way behind the main hotel in the Spa building. The view from the room was spectacular and although it was raining when we arrived we... More

We stayed one night in les corderies after recommandation from some friends. It was a good tip, but maybe not for families with kids. The advantages of the hotel: -clean rooms (ask for a room in the new part) -nice small pool (nice picture on the site but is much smaller in real) -good restaurant, nice breakfast -friendly staff -free... Rooms are clean and modern, the ones in the new building have a lovely view over the town and marshes...could be improved on details for instance by providing more hooks for hanging clothes - as for the contraption inside the entrance cupboard, it is impractical for you have to pull down a steel bar which is well above your head... Stayed at les Corderies for only one night. Had a room with sea/bay view. Great rain shower with separate toilet. Free wifi. Breakfast with traditional French bread.

I thought this place was great. Don't go expecting top top snooty service. Its relaxed but friendly. Breakfast was circa 15 - 19 euro, we walked into the town instead. As usual however, this is a French Village so the timing for meals has to be correct. You will not get lunch after 2pm anywhere and you will need to... More

I just wanted to like this place so much. Family run, well situated boutique hotel. But I could not help noticing the flaws... Something was not quite right. This hotel lacks attention to details and to quality. It desperately wants to be more upscale than it is and hopes you won't notice. If you know the place and you are... More

First impressions are good. Excellent, ample free parking-unknown in this (too?) attractive town. The poorly kept garden starts to give the game away. Good size bedroom, but minimal wardrobe space, dim bathroom lighting,no bedside tables, badly positioned lights and switches. Vastly overpriced breakfast (14 Euros), with poor quality ham and cheese. Yes,fresh orange juice, but somewhat spoiled by the pips. Only... More
