The approach to the hotel is impressive, an old stone hall in its own parkland with high ceilinged reception and reception rooms. This is all a bit superficial as, added onto the side of the hotel, is a large 150 room modern bricked featureless complex, for this conference hotel. The rooms in turn are impressive when first entered, but again... more

My wife and I stayed here twice in June, on our way to and from Scotland, we selected it for its convenient location close to the M6 and the Travelzoo promotion mentioned by a previous reveiwer (£79 for dinner b&b for 2). The hotel is very comfortable and clean and our first stay was excellent, we had a lovely evening... more

Damp room dirty bathroom complete with beetles, bedroom "corridor" block akin to a travelodge with very noisy guests. Walls so thin you could hear your neighbour take a pee! The rooms were full of the usual facilities but ours was on the ground floor near the door so we couldn't keep the window open overnight - no aircon and lots... more

A perfect hotel for a quiet getaway in a relaxing setting. Very nice health club, free of charge and nice, quiet and lush surroundings. Maybe a bit too far from the nearest city, but plenty of things to do and see in the area anyway. Do not miss a trip to Chester, a 35-minute drive away! more

This is a beautiful old building that is decorated in a modern fashion to a high standard set in lovely, well-maintained grounds. The rooms are in a modern annexe and are quite generic but nonetheless comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast is the best I have ever had in a hotel. The staff are excellent, very welcoming, helpful and friendly.... more

We stayed at the Cranage Hall Hotel as they were hosting a Wedding Evening. The Wedding Show was AMAZING! Great Freebies and the Best Firework Show I have EVER SEEN! We only paid £49.00 inc Full English Breakfast for the overnight stay which I thought was a Fab Rate. The room was very large and although in the Annex rather... more

Where to start I don't know but I'll have a go, almost missed the entrance to the place as it looked like an entrance to a stately home, which it once was as well as a mental institute, the entrance/reception is very imposing & grand, the staff exstremely helpful & pleasant, the rooms large & spotlessly clean & contemporary. Food... more

My family treated my disabled mother to an overnight stay with dinner, bed, breakfast and a luxury manicure, and I went along to look after her.. The staff were so helpful in getting my mother to the restaurant which was downstairs, and back up to the floor our our room again. All the staff were very helpful, food was very... more
