I can't thank the staff at the hotel enough for making us feel so welcoming and part of the family. Food was first class. Four courses and different on each of the 7 nights we ate there. Breakfast choice was fantastic. Great place to sit back, relax and enjoy the wonderful views.

Even though was a set menu food was excellent, probably best ever had in any hotel. Staff were very helpful and attentive with nothing being too much trouble. It is in a lovely location - but is very remote, 40 minutes to nearest town so nowhere else to go in evening.

This is a unique hotel, off the beaten track, with super breakfast/four course evening meals, and atmospheric manor house/converted barn style rooms, courtyard, and patio/pool area. Most of the food is home grown and organic. Has its own mini farm "zoo" including goats that climb trees. A great base to visit nearby stunning historic buildings/mosaics/beaches. Staff couldn't have been more... More

Very surprised to arrive at this quaint place and find their was to be a wedding taking place. Loud speakers, lots of guests all rolled in and the ceremony and party took place right outside our room. I was told this was frequent and happened twice a week. Outdoor terrace was lovely and the freezing cold unheated tiny pool was... More

A really fabulous hotel which is a real retreat from all the hustle and bustle of every day life. Good Points Excellent food with evening meal consisting of 5 courses. Good breakfast selection. Very reasonable priced wine and beer. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms good. Surrounding area secluded with open woodland and rolling hills very relaxing. Very good mixed... More

I would say this is a candidate for the perfect getaway. Set up a hill a mile or so off the main road along a track, the beuatifully located Vecchia Masseria is a family run hotel and restaurant, although this bland description is understating the experience. Once a run down farm the owners have lovingly restored the buildings into a... More

This was a last minute find after some disastrous experience. Stephanie the receptionist was very helpful. The food was excellent. Do not miss the evening meal, four courses of Sicilian excellence and the biggest breakfast buffet ever. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi are a great way to relax after a day of sightseeing. This is not to be missed.

This hotel was just delightful. There is nothing anywhere near it and that is part of its charm. It is a very large property. The outside area is very charming. The pool is great and the lounge chairs are padded and towels are provided. There is an area that has animals -- an ostrich, pigs and piglets, horses, chickens, roosters... More

We have just had 7 days touring Sicily staying at 6 different hotels and we can say without doubt that Vecchia Masseria is simply the best. Its position in a protected eucalyptus forest, the views and the lovely warm welcome set the tone for a perfect stay. We simply cannot praise this place enough. The food was fantastic, the evening... The hotel is in the beautiful, quiet surroundings with nice garden and swimming pool. The owner and staff were very kind and friendly. The dinner and the breakfast was excellent. The chef talked with the guest during the meal and he was very helpful. We got a room (106) not to the main building. There is next to the swimming... More
