We stayed here for the last couple of nights at the end of our trip to Kannur. We particularly wanted the upstairs front bedroom which has a lovely balcony. The accommodation is good and there are steps down to a lovely cove where you can safely swim, the sea can be rougher on the long beaches. It's a Homestay and... More

We arrived at Waves Beach Resort a day or two before Christmas Day - we couldn't have picked a better place to spend it. We chose to stay in one of the beach bungalows which was spotlessly clean. The garden with hammocks and dining area were beautiful and the best bit was arguably the 'private' beach just a short scramble... More

Waves beach house is in a beautifully quiet spot just above a small beach, so you can sleep with the sound of the waves. The food is all excellent, and everyone helps to look after you. The most peaceful place, we wished we could have stayed longer than 5 nights. (This was written before I saw the 2 recent bad... More

At the first glance this place looked good and close to the beach. Once we stayed there we felt uncomfortable. The place did not have a friendly nor caring caracter, like we experienced in other homestays. Small dark rooms, lights on all night outside above the window wich attrackts musquitos. No flowers, only some plastic chairs. They had a strange... More

Although the food was not bad at all, it was difficult to enjoy This is not a real homestay. The manager/staff life far away. So dinner is planned early and within 5 minutes, while we were still eating all plates are removed because they want to go home. The car standing right next to the tables drives leaving you in... My girlfriend and I needed a place to stay near Kannur for a night and found Waves in the Lonely Planet. We were so glad that we gave it a go as it was perfect. We arrived late in the evening and the staff were happy to receive us and even though the dinner hours had long gone, they served... More

We stayed at Waves homestay during peak season in December - this was the best value place we found (as we are backpacking). We booked 3 nights to recharge our batteries and get some rest on the quiet beaches.. We got so much more from this homestay!! We ended up extending our stay to a week, we loved it so... More

This place is indescribable. The beaches around are so beautiful and the people are super friendly. The staff can help with anything you want. The food is really nice and never boring. We stayed for ten nights and didn't regret a single moment.

Waves beach resort (Cottage stay) is very small property with 2 cottages, each with 2 rooms, one on ground floor and the other on first floor. The main USP for the place is the location. It is situated bang on the beach with access to a small private kind of secluded area and is a few minute walk from the... More
