It was after a full day of hiking activities in and around Zermatt that I made it back down the hill to Visp, looking for a bed for the night. To be honest I noticed the Hotel Visperhof from the railway station, so decided to log into the free wifi kindly provided by Swiss Rail, and booked the Hotel Visperhof... More

This was the last night of our holiday and having travelled over 500 miles around Switzerland in 7 days I thought it would be nice to have a bit of luxury to end with so I booked a 'deluxe room' (£145 for 2 including breakfast). We were greeted by Fabienne on reception who really was just so helpful and friendly.... More

I've stayed countless times in the Visperhof and it never disappointed me. The rooms are very clean (but can be very small, depending on what you book), the beds are good, there's wireless and the breakfast is very nice. I dislike the fluffy pillows (very personal, I know) and brought my own most of the times. In summer it can... More

Another business trip to Lonza - Visperhof is THE place to stay. Clean, town centre, good breakfast views, reliable WiFi, friendly staff. To my previous review I'd add that the owner is constantly making little improvements that give the atmosphere that he/she really cares for the place. This time it was a new glass/stainless steel elevator - not critical you... More

Surprisingly modern interior. Very comfortable room (I had a superior single room) and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly. Unfortunately the elevator was not working - but I only had to go the the first floor... Breakfast was (this time) in the coffe shop/bar on ground floor and not (as usual) on 6th floor with great view. I was... More

Friendly staff; Modern glass & wood decor in the always Immaculately clean rooms; The treat is that breakfast is on the top floor and the views up the valley are superb, especially for the tables outside on the balcony. Usual Swiss breakfast buffet - muesli, cheeses, cold meats, breads, croissant, juices, coffees, fruit. Many restaurants within walking distance. Free WiFi.... More

This hotel is what you would expect from a 3 star hotel....the breakfast buffet is alright, but nothing special, and there is no restaurant attached to this hotel where you can have dinner.....sandwiches only apparently. However, the most redemming features for this hotel are it's location, it's views from the balconies and it's very helpful front desk staff. Thank you.

Stayed here on a motorcycle tour - the hotel has good secure parking beneath the building opposite. Beyond that, I was rather unimpressed. Rooms are clean but not welcoming. Breakfast was basic. The whole experience was like an overpriced airport motel

Business trip, hotel is very centrally located; Hotel was full; acceptable 3* fare. all-in-all a good offering for the price.. but... next time will stay in Brig (1 stop on rail), a very impressive larger town.

I had stayed in this hotel during my biz trip and was travelling with my friend and it is the only hotel in this city . We arrived late in the evening but it 2-3 min walk from the railway station. This hotel is located in the central , hence you do get good choice of food and drinks. It... More
