Yep this is a little bit of heaven in the craziness that is Juba. Lush, quiet, Anne is absolutely an angel. Laundry included. I'm trying to think why I would stay anywhere else? The say it's "outside of town" but not really. I suppose if you need to be in the thick of it it adds a bit of time.... More

Acacia is located nearby Jebel Kujur (also known as Jebel Juba) and enjoys the beautiful view of this small mountains chain in the capital city of South Sudan. Secluded from the rest of the city and its traffic, business and all the noise, it’s probably the best choice for safari-like style staying. For this reasons it’s the perfect location for... More

Dear Stephen, It was very nice to have you with us last week and truly, few more minutes in the traffic are worth the tranquillity and coolness of our "oasis". Thank you very much for your review and we hope to see you soon back to Acacia Village. More

With only a short drive, Acacia Village is a heavenly escape from the chaos and noise of Juba. I have stayed a couple of times with friends and without doubt would recommend it. I always enjoy being able to take a refreshing dip in the pool after overindulging at the tukul style bar, where the staff are friendly and welcoming.... More

Stayed in July 2011. Nothing much I want to add. This was the most expensive tent I have ever paid for a night stay. USD 170 + tax but I guess it is because there was less or no competition at all in the capital of the world's youngest country. The only hotel ground in Juba with a swimming pool.

Thanks for your review of Acacia . I note you visited us in 2011 , sometime back. I am happy to report we have removed all tents and now have self contained bungalows and cottages. Prices in Juba are expensive and we are no exception . We do trry an dmake your stay safe and enjoyable . We now have... More

Juba is a fast growing city but it seems to have forgotten that with all the foreign aid pouring into the country, all these mzungus are going to need somewhere to stay. The Acacia is a great little escape and it has a feeling of Kenya; relaxed, simple, cold beers and good food. I would recommend it to anyone spending... More

We have been referred to many times as an 'Oasis' in Juba; proving high quality service and accommodation in environment that doesn't lose its African influences. I am pleased you enjoyed your time with us. Thank you for your review. More

Stayed on business. Accommodation and especially the food and friendly staff made the whole experience amazing. Swimming pool was an oasis. Thought I would loose weight while there but cooked breakfast everyday put pay to that. Menu changed every night and pizza for lunch unbelievable. Recommend to anyone for work or holiday. Hope to return soon.

This place is a about a 15-minute drive from the airport, on the outskirts of town. The compound is self-contained, with its own restaurant, generator and security. It seems to attract a lot of long-term expats and is often sold out, so their cottages could be the best option in Juba, but they place would never survive if there was... More

Dear FlySeeFly, Thank you for your honest feedback. I was sorry to read that you were not completely satisfied with your room. Thanks to your comments this room has now been closed for repairs. The cottages are constructed using Teak and Mahogany and unfortunately as with all wood are prone to warping over time. Acacia provides airport transfers at $15.... More

Stayed here in July 2012 This place is very much geared towards NGOs and longer term visitors. Situated quite a way out of town: felt quite safe. But $115 USD per night to stay in a converted shipping container just didn't seem like good value as a short term tourist. That said, I didn't see anything better on the trip.... More

Dear KGB777, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read that you were not completely satisfied with your stay with us. I should point out that the 'container rooms' no longer exist and haven't for the past 8 months. In their place we have built 4 new cottages of the style and high standard that visitors have come... I was impressed by the Acacia Village Hotel in Juba, SS. The rooms are very nice, clean, private and well cared for. The grounds are very secure with the nation's only private guard company who is licensed to carry weapons with an office there. I would recommend the Acacia to travellers who are planning on staying in Juba.

Great short break over the Easter weekend, feel fully refreshed, amazing how once behind the walls of the compound you could be anywhere in the world, quiet, friendly, great food and company. I shall be going back.
