It was disappointing as we booked online but the room wasn't shown on website as an example and it was very small in the roof space and hot with no air con . This should be advertised as such instead of just showing big rooms with sea views .

The location of the hotel is good, with excellent views to the estuary and the historical centre. Rooms are simple, but very clean, no carpet and the bathroom is OK. The receptionists are very nice, but the breakfast service is not very good. I wouldn´t recommend "complete breakfast", it's not worth the price.

Pretty reasonable hotel - especially when the price was reduced by €15 per night. Clean, tidy and generally very friendly staff with the notable exception being at breakfast. The waiter/receptionist switched off the toaster whilst I was at the very meagre buffet on Sunday, and took food away as soon as I either choose the item or moved half a... More

Rather forlorn establishment; we stayed two nights in late May, before the season really got cranked up, and low occupancy contributed to bleak effect. The hotel sits just across the second bridge, overlooking the little old town and estuary, and somehow seems remote despite being just a two minute walk into town. Very basic furnishings and amenities. Only because desk... More

We got our trip round Spain off to a good start at this hotel. Welcome reception staff. Spacious corner room with superb views. Not the most modern bathroom but it was fine. It has underground parking but it's a tight squeeze even for a motorbike!

We stayed on at this hotel for one night on a tour of Northern Spain. The hotel itself is well placed a short walk from the town and port with it’s restaurants. The room was modern and spacious and looked out over the adjacent creek which is very pretty. We actually ate our meal in the evening in the hotel... More

We stayed at the Villa de San Vicente just for one night in a weekend trip to the nice fishing villa San Vicente de la Barquera. Located just near the city centre, the hotel provides basic acomodation at a moderate price. Dont be put back by the dissapointing reception area, the rooms are renovated and nicely decorated. Buffet breakfast is... More

This is a lovely quiet hotel located in a wonderful coastal town. Great views over the harbour. A friendly and hepful lady on reception. Rooms clean and spacious. Restaurant was good. Wonderful breakfasts , with considerable choice of items. the only downside is car parking on the street , as the hotel garage is underground and is small and difficult... More

Lovely friendly hotel, helpful smiley staff and nice room. Great location and views Only drawback is the carpark - seriously small, and down a very steep, narrow ramp with a 180-degree corner. Avoid it if you have a large car, because once you're in you won't be able to get out!

We have stayed in this hotel six times now over the past five years and have never been disappointed. Angelica who is in charge of Reception assisted by Asun have this season been joined by Elsa and Elena who share their welcoming approach. We have fun practising our Spanish with them and they are very forgiving of our errors! They... More
