The hotel has wonderful views across the estuary and to the sea, It is well worth paying for a sea view. The rooms were modern and spotlessly clean .Outside balconies are only available if booked direct with the hotel and not through a booking agency. However our room had floor to ceiling bay windows, which at this time of year... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in September, 2015. Very basic 3 star with no extras. Supposedly had a "superior" sea view room booked through booking.com. Originally offered a sea view room on the second floor without a balcony. Opted for a smaller first floor room with a terrace. Very basic and no air conditioning. Extra 5 euro per person for... We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is up a small hill close to the town and has lovely views. Our room and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. Also great value for money. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast is $5 euros per person for a... More

Ask for a room with a view over the estuary ie with a 'balcon' or 'terraza'. Very nice people run the hotel, very clean and modern. Fab sound proofing didn't hear a thing from other guests in corridor. Only downside being a stiff walk uphill from town centre but easy to drive to and find

We stayed one night in this hotel. Bedroom large with air con , very good shower and bath, first impressions is old grand old stately home with original features and furniture! Lovely setting , we skipped breakfast as it was downstairs and we wanted to eat outside in the sunshine ! I left my iPod behind and management were so... More

Hotel Azul de Galimar is run by a family and they do it well. We stayed as part of a cycling tour and the hotel is perched right up high on the hill behind San Vicente so the views are fabulous. My ground floor room had a big terrace balcony with views over the headland and sea. It was a... More

My wife and I spent a night in this spotless modern three Star bed and breakfast hotel. This was the last week of a tour that took us from Santander to Santiago and back. We found the hotel quite by chance using an Internet cafe The patron and his wife are lovely people and nothing was too much trouble. The... More

We stayed on our first night of a three week driving holiday in Spain. The hotel is immaculate, we parked at hotel but the surrounding roads are perfectly safe. Ask for room 11,12 or 13, they have large patio areas and the view is fabulous. The daughter of the owners speaks very good English and is extremely helpful. We will... More

It is the only place to stay in town. Wonderful staff; some of whom spoke English and the others helped us when we spoke very limited Spanish. The room was available early for us to move into and we had a wonderful view of the sea. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and the shower was fine.... More

Clean, crisp, fresh decor and stunning views over the town and the seaside. The room we had opened out onto a sun terrace. Decent night's sleep capped off by a lovely straightforward breakfast (cake/toast/fruit juice/coffee) on the terrace overlooking the seas served by friendly staff. This hotel is up a fairly steep hill and about 10 minutes from town.
