My husband and I stayed with Jim and Sue at Fraser Highlands over Easter weekend. We stayed for 3 nights, and I wish we could have stayed longer! The cottage was perfect for our needs and had all the little touches and amenities of home. We were driving through New Zealand over the course of two weeks, and our stay... More

Your remarks about what Cameron's Cottage has to offer are truly appreciated. The location, with its views and tranquility are features that have made it popular for people visiting the Nelson Province. Regarding our vegetable patch, like most gardens it is a challenge to make it more productive but there is often surplus fresh pickings for the Cottage residents! We really... More

This location was selected for its proximity to the Abel Tasman Trail. The Abel Tasman Water Taxi bus picked us up at the bottom of the driveway each morning so we did not even need to take our car the few extra miles to Marahau. Jim and Sue could not have been better hosts and even provided us with a... More

Thank you for your kind remarks! We are more than happy for Guests to invite their friends here for a 'catch-up chat, either' in the Lounge or outside around the big BBQ table. Regarding location.....yes,Abel Tasman National Park is 'next door' and inside an hour of driving you could be in Golden Bay to the West or in Nelson City... More

Beautifully lovely cottage on the top of the hill, great views and warm hosts Jim and Sue took great care of us! The grounds are large and there's plenty of privacy. One day we wanted to just hang out with a bottle of wine under the stars, and Jim was so sweet to set us up with some deck chairs... More

Really glad the 'Retreat' location worked out well for you. Because we get minimal glow from lights towards the town of Motueka the night sky without a moon is quite amazing. We do appreciate your kind remarks too.....thank you for writing them! More

We weren't sure when we saw "B+B" on the schedule. You never know what to expect! We couldn't have been more pleased! Upon arrival you drive up a long, secluded (and a bit harrowing!) driveway up, up, to the top of a hill. The B+B is a house as well so we were greeted at the door by our kind... More

Thank you for your generous comments about us and our property! When we decided to build on a ridge close to the National Park we knew that the panoramic views over Tasman Bay and nearby hills and mountains were 'highly inspirational'. The night scene is also spectacular as Tasman Bay is clearly visible on a moon-lit night and without a... More

Lovely cottage high up on hill with wonderful views. Cottage is well equipped with everything required for self catering. Bed is lovely and comfy and area is so quiet you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. Owners are also very welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. My wife and I stayed in the cottage at Fraser Highlands, and had a lovely time wishing we had stayed more than 2 days. Jim and Sue are marvellous hosts and we had a very comfortable stay and walked in Abel Tasman Park using the river boat taxi to take us to Anchorage. The cottage is self contained in the... More

Thank you for your generous remarks and we are glad the Cottage proved to be a good base! We stayed at Fraser Highlands while traveling through New Zealand. Not only was the the house, the place, the views and the rooms one of the best B&B we stayed at. More important we found our hosts very warm, welcoming and always helpful with their advise. I can only recommend to try it - we would go back any time.
