Comfort, health, beauty, and hospitality at its best. My wife and I honeymooned here and we were blown away by the hospitality, the location, and above all, the food! This chef has her own style and flavor that I have not encountered anywhere else in the world.

Boot camp is not what I'm about on a pursuit of a healthy holiday. That's why Split Apple Retreat gives me my kind of healthy break.  My own routine, my choice to have a wine, but with owner Dr. Lee Nelson's expert guidance on nutritional food and his wife, chef  Pen's unique exotic cooking makes for six star PERFECTION. Surrounded... More

When we moved to Switzerland a few years ago we felt that it was everything that England should be but isn’t. When we visited New Zealand this year we felt that it was everything that Switzerland should be but isn’t.Of course New Zealand has better landscapes, fewer people and fresher food than most other places but it also has a... Split Apple Resort is the ultimate resort get away. Perfectly located and designed, exquisitely appointed, and operated charmingly by Lee and Pen, Split Apple is as good as it gets. And the food, beyond compare.

Spent five days on a return trip with Lee & Pen. We were indulged with great food, service which anticipated our every need, wonderful conversations and some pretty special wines. Lee and Pen are marvelous hosts and Pen's food has to be eaten to be believed. We will be back

We spent the first three days of our New Zealand holiday at Split Apple Retreat and it simply was not enough time to absorb the breathtaking vistas, beautiful property, wonderful food and relaxing, healthy environment that the Retreat offers. And that is before I mention the easy access to Abel Tasman National Park (make sure to take one of the... More

Spent the Labour weekend with Dr. Lee & Pen. Absolutely the most unique and luxurious boutique hotel we've ever had the privilege to stay in. The construction of this place includes luxury, fit & finish to rival the best Ritz Carlton you've ever seen. It was previously unthinkable something like this could've been developed and architecturally perfectly blended into the... More
