We stayed at the Brunswick on saturday,on our way home from Scotland. The house is very pretty ,centrally located in the village. We had a room at the front of the house overlooking the green,as i tried to open the window,it was very stiff, and unfortunately the sills were dirty with fly spots and cobwebs which was a suprise as the room... Thank you very much for finding the time to review our guest house, we are very pleased you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the issues you raised the house is 250 years old and cobwebs can appear overnight particularly at this time of year, however this is no excuse and the issues you raised have been and will continue to be... From the bed to the toiletries, the Brunswick is a quality guesthouse. A spacious room, superbly equipped and super quiet at night, I had an excellent sleep. A lovely guest lounge too. There is a huge selection at breakfast from the usual full English to cereals and fresh fruit salad. A friendly owner and I highly recommend a stay.

Lovely room! Gorgeous duvet and pillows, clean with little details like free water, dressing gowns, homemade bics, quality bathroom freebies. The only problem was Fri night karaoke in bar downstairs and to left so loud you could hear every word!! Didn't finish until just before 12, then kicking out time. That was pretty awful and people screaming in the street!... More

Many thanks for your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed our Guest House. Regarding noise form the nearby pub please accept my apologies. There is very little I can do about this other than pass on your comments to the management of the pub which I intend to do. Whilst most nights in the village are quiet as one... More

Just had a fabulous long weekend in this lovely little B&B. Everywhere spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Excellent selection and quality at breakfast time. Just at the end of the street so night-time noise wasn't an issue. Will definitely be going back.

We stayed one night on our way to Scotland. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable king sized bed and very small shower room, it overlooked the car park and river running at the back of the property. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices and served in a lovely sunny dining room at the front of the... More

Brunswick House offered all the usual amenities of a good B&B plus additional extras such as bathrobes, iron, ironing board, fresh water & milk in the fridge and a bowl of fresh fruit. The room was pretty and, though small, was ideal for our short stay. We arrived on a wet afternoon and were welcomed with tea and delicious chocolate... More

What a charming place B&B. There's a useful sunny conservatory for drying boots, a sweet little sitting area by the river to add to the gorgeous bedroom and lovely bathroom. I didn't go into the lounge but it looked very attractive. Breakfast was a delight! The best on my trip - fruit, cereals, yoghurt and a delicious cooked breakfast. The... More

Our third visit to this charming guest house. The first visit was when we undertook the Pennine Way. We decided at that time we must make a return visit as it ranked as the best accommodation we had stayed at whilst walking the Pennine Way. During our recent visit we met with other visitors who were paying their 7th visit and... More

This must rank as one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed in. Had a warm welcome with a cuppa and a slab of home made cake in the quaint and cosy lounge. Dinner was most enjoyable and the breakfast was first rate with everything you could wish for and beautifully cooked. The room and bathroom were a bit... More
