Stayed here for a night in September 2012. Lovely room at the front of the house. Yes, it was small, the nature of these old houses is such. Small but perfectly suitable, a most comfortable bed, nice bathroom, toiletries and most importantly - very clean. there was fresh water in the fridge, fresh fruit in a basket and fresh milk... More

Stayed mid-week ,a lovely place,if i was to run a B&B i would get these guys to show me the ropes as attention to detail was almost perfect, the only bad mark was the dust on top of the wooden blinds, easily rectified with a duster. The breakfast spread was excellent and the price of £80 per room was fair. we will... More

We arrived after dark and I wuld advise anyone with a medium to large car to think twice before using the rear car park - the entrance is very tight! The town looked very festive with lights on all the large trees lining the High Street. We were greeted by the owner and shown to a well-equipped room with plenty of... More

I had read previous reviews that said the rooms were small and the owner was rather recitent. We found the rooms to be small but it is a very old house. They were beautifully furnished and very well equipped with all the usual toiletries as well as having water and fresh fruit in the fridge, an iron, ironing board and... More

We stayed B&B at Brunswick House at the beginning of July, 2009 and it truly can't be faulted. The room was a little bit small but then the building is centruries old. Despite this, it did have a mini fridge with fresh milk and complimentary mineral water; there was a proper shoe cleaning kit in the wardrobe, nice toiletries and... More

Four of us stayed in 2 double rooms in this centrally situated pleasant guest house. I am unused to booking this type of B&B via computerised website and paying in advance of the stay and found this a little impersonal. There is parking for about 4 cars to the rear in a pleasant yard/garden with a couple of tables by... More

The owner of the Brunswick gave us a warm welcome, open fire, coffee and home made cakes and biscuits. Clean and comfortable, the room had everything you could want, down to shoe cleaning kit and a clothes brush! The bedding matched and was the loveliest embroidered white. Breakfast was excellent, locally sourced, and beautifully cooked to order. We had dinner... More

Brilliant bed and breakfast. Full of character. Huge, comfortable beds. The lounge is beautiful, with open fire, comfy sofas and plenty of books and leaflets on the gorgeous surrounding countryside. The breakfasts were extremely tasty and filling, and the evening meal was outstanding. Excellent vegetarian option. Off street parking is available around the back of the building, down a very... Tripadvisor has done it again! A very nice stay. Excellent food for vegetarians. Certainly eat in - thoroughly recommended. Rooms nicely decorated if a little small. Nice choice of wines.
