We had an overnight stay in August. Satnav directions spot on, though the rough track to the hotel made us wonder if we had made a mistake. Lovely lady welcomed us and showed us to our room. It was spotlessly clean though the furniture was a mix of old French repro and modern. The beverages and toiletries were welcome and... More

Spent two nights at Cresswell Arms whilst visiting the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors and Castle Howard, located in a sleepy village outside Malton with very little else to offer. We were made to feel very welcome by staff on arrival and throughout our stay. Room was comfortable and well furnished, shower was hot and powerful. We ate in the pub... More

I stayed at the Creswell arms with my partner and 2 children in Aug for 1 night whilst visiting flamingo land, (which is a 10 min drive away) . We arrived around 6pm and was greeted kindly as we entered the restaurant (as reception was closed) the lady showed us to our room which was a family room ( room... More

Stayed with friends for 1 night, superb clean nicely decorated rooms, very spacious with impeccable attention to detail (even the tea/coffee/sugars in room laid out in order in the basket!). We had a great evening meal in the pub restaurant (you can also eat in the bar), a little short on menu choice the night we stayed, but a good... More

My partner and I sayed for one night on 23rd July when we were visiting Castle Howard. We were very happy with the room, it was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We found the staff to be friendly and effiicient and would recomend the hotel as being very good value.

After a very stressful day taking our horse to the equine hospital nearby in an emergency, we contacted to Cresswell Arms for somewhere to lay our heads for the night. The phone was answered very quickly and from the call to checking in was a matter of 15 minutes. The room was immediately ready for us. It was immaculately clean... More

My husband and myself stayed here last night and found the hotel to be in an ideal place. We stayed with friends who had room no 3 and we had room 7 both themed rooms and tastefully decorated and spotless. It was nice and quiet and we didn't realise until breakfast that others were actually staying there. The breakfast was... More

We were attending a friends' party in the next village who recommended the Cresswell Arms for their guests. I suppose, unlike some previous guests' reviews on trip advisor, we were fortunate not to have been allocated the caravan parked in the car park. When we arrived, we assumed that it was staff accommodation, but having read the reviews on trip... More
