I stayed here with my daughter and my sister in July 2014. My daughter and I had a twin room and my sister had a double to herself. Her room was excellent, having been redecorated fairly recently. My room was also great with everything you would need for a short stay. The rooms were very clean and the staff were... More

This location is perfect if you're attending a wedding at Sandhole Barn opposite. There's a handy footpath leading from the venue to the pub which means you don't have to walk on the road. Unfortunately didn't get to sample the food or beers as we only stayed for one night but I'm assured it's as good as it looks! Comfortable... More

Only popped in for a drink before when we have been out driving around. Six adults and one child (Aged 8) went for a meal, all of our group thoroughly enjoyed the meal and relaxing evening. The restaurant is light and spacious, plenty of choice on the menu and specials board the food was delicious (Homemade not frozen crap) and... More

We stayed here on 16th May 2014. It is a pub and attached is another building which is the B&B. Clean rooms. Bathroom is converted to a disabled one so convenient for all to use. Very Old. Could do with a lick of paint and new carpets etc. Lovely Couple who run it. Breakfast closes at 9:30 which we missed... More

Stayed at the Waggon & Horses for a wedding across the road Sandhole Farm, so the location was ideal! The staff were very friendly and happy to chat to us, made us feel very welcome. They make their own sausages and bacon, so the Full English Breakfast was a welcome treat the morning after the wedding (I have food allergies... More

Tried The Waggon & Horses by off chance on bank holiday Monday, we were impressed with the food, so nice to go somewhere where you can just tell the good is not straight out of a packet! It was proper pub grub and there's not many places like that now! Will be returning!

Rather disappointed with this trip, firstly we were put in a dining room on our own. The specials had 6 items on the menus, but not one vegetarian, thank goodness our daughters were with us. Food was "ok" but won't be dashing back

We called into the Waggon and Horses for tea on Monday, 20th Jan. We were pleasantly pleased. Staff could not do enough to help and extremely friendly. Food was excellent - even changed the menu to suit me. Will certainly call in again.

We stayed for a wedding at a nearby venue to avoid an expensive taxi ride into Congleton and we were pleasantly surprised. Nice clean and tidy room and bathroom. Had a very quiet nights sleep but would have preferred the room to be a little warmer or to have had an extra blanket or two. however shower was lovely and... More

Stayed over night at the Waggon on Friday and was pleasantly surprised to be offered a 3 course meal in the restaurant for £7.00! It was a staff training evening to assist their younger members of staff with the skills required when serving in a busy restaurant. The staff were friendly, polite and professional. The food was very good once... More
