The most delightful country pub ever. Great food and service with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Amazing value for a top notch lunch. Took my mum for lunch which was great, brie and cranberry won tons with salad and the best salmon goujons ever. Lovely staff who were so kind and helpful with my mum who is not very mobile. I... Had lunch here with my father last week. We both chose from the specials board and both items were delicious and huge portions (which I still managed to eat!). Attentive but not intrusive service. I did feel like a "youngster" at 52 as the restaurant has a special senior citizen menu which looked like excellent value. Traditional decor - an... More

We stayed for one night, with evening meal and B&B. The room was fine. There were two large bookings in restaurant, so we could not book a table before 8.30pm. Some food was good, but the Roast Beef was awful (as noted by another customer). We were hounded out of the restaurant, then managed to get one round of drinks... More

We stayed for one night, in the area for a funeral. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and the room was very clean and tidy, not huge but perfectly adequate. The shower was excellent, one of the most powerful I've ever stood under. No lack of hot water, towels excellent quality. The breakfast was superb, usual choice... More

I have stayed here before and this time as good as ever. Welcoming staff, obviously wanting your stay to be as enjoyable as possible. Good menu, food well cooked, waitress very ready to adapt menu to suit individual choices. Room small but very comfortable and quiet. Super quality bed and bath linen. Highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure... More

We were made to feel very welcome the food was very nice indeed fab beer garden lovely village and the landlord was possibly the most hospitable landlord we have ever met. Did us proud excellent food for 19 guests was served promptly, presented beautifully, left us wanting for nothing. Staff were and are polite, any requests were no problem. Really felt looked after on our special day . Thank you all.

I purchased a two-course meal at The Egerton Arms. The mango and brie parcels to start with were delicious, but the accompanying salad was exceptionally bland. The main course of roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and trimmings was dreadful. Dry, bland and completely unenjoyable unfortunately. The waitress was adorable and attentive, the drinks were great and the setting was idyllic,... More

Spent two nights at this wonderful hotel. The proprietors and staff were amazing, speaks volumes that all the staff were long serving over10 years plus service each. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable, the cleanest hotel I have visited. The bar food, restaurant and breakfasts were of the best quality and service excellent. The setting in rural Astbury village was... More

Lovely lunch today at The Egerton Arms. It was easy to book and we were greeted politely on arrival. Restaurant is comfortable and well-furnished. Service was unobtrusive, prompt and friendly. All meals - fish, crab and crayfish salad, roast beef, roast turkey and braised steak - were well-presented, hot and of a good portion size. Vegetables to share were nicely... More
