Did us proud excellent food for 19 guests was served promptly, presented beautifully, left us wanting for nothing. Staff were and are polite, any requests were no problem. Really felt looked after on our special day . Thank you all.

I purchased a two-course meal at The Egerton Arms. The mango and brie parcels to start with were delicious, but the accompanying salad was exceptionally bland. The main course of roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and trimmings was dreadful. Dry, bland and completely unenjoyable unfortunately. The waitress was adorable and attentive, the drinks were great and the setting was idyllic,... More

Spent two nights at this wonderful hotel. The proprietors and staff were amazing, speaks volumes that all the staff were long serving over10 years plus service each. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable, the cleanest hotel I have visited. The bar food, restaurant and breakfasts were of the best quality and service excellent. The setting in rural Astbury village was... More

Lovely lunch today at The Egerton Arms. It was easy to book and we were greeted politely on arrival. Restaurant is comfortable and well-furnished. Service was unobtrusive, prompt and friendly. All meals - fish, crab and crayfish salad, roast beef, roast turkey and braised steak - were well-presented, hot and of a good portion size. Vegetables to share were nicely... More

Another stay - hence 'Money Where My Mouth Is' which after all is the real test. This is the fourth time we have broken our journey and stayed at the Egerton Arms and have always enjoyed staying here, never disappointed. Good Pub food, friendly staff, very clean rooms, comfortable bed, great quality breakfast - what's not to like. Should you... More

Spotlessly clean throughout. Bedrooms with showers & wc etc. Note: No heating to bedrooms in the afternoon. Otherwise warm and comfortable. Owners and staff all very helpful and friendly. Food & bar excellent value. Close to Congleton town. Easy reach to motorways.

An excellent night's sleep in a huge bed following a superb evening meal - Chef's special of lamb chops- and followed by great breakfast. After that, we needed no lunch. Our host was friendly and exceptionally helpful. We had trouble logging on to wi-fi, but help was offered by everyone -including the chef, the barman and many customers in the... More

We booked at what we considered to be a very reasonable rate for the area. We just required room only as we had relations nearby. Upon arrival a very friendly lady host advised us that as there were not many bookings for that night, we would be upgraded to the 4 poster room (room 6). What a smashing room, big... More

300 hundred year old building full of charm but lacking real fires. Good room (room 3) big bed, clean, some nice touches e.g. a jug of iced water. Friendly hosts and good service. Very good breakfast which was huge and made from local produce. Good base for walking. Would definately stay again.
