Visited here yesterday evening with family to celebrate our 40th ruby wedding anniversary. Warm friendly service and excellent meals with a good range of choice. Not been here before but will definitely be back.Well done Egerton Arms for a wonderful evening.

We decided to try this pub as we pass it all the time and thought it looked very nice. The inside looks disappointing ordinary compared with its lovely setting. The menu was the same, basic pub grub with a generally un inventive menu. However, sometimes simple home cooking can be some of the best food so we made our choices... More

Best B&B in Congleton area by far. Super huge comfy bed. Great breakfast. Good value. Recommend the Bury Black Pudding. Will definitely stay here again when we visit family in Congleton. Tried some rubbish ones in Congleton before!

The most delightful country pub ever. Great food and service with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Amazing value for a top notch lunch. Took my mum for lunch which was great, brie and cranberry won tons with salad and the best salmon goujons ever. Lovely staff who were so kind and helpful with my mum who is not very mobile. I... Had lunch here with my father last week. We both chose from the specials board and both items were delicious and huge portions (which I still managed to eat!). Attentive but not intrusive service. I did feel like a "youngster" at 52 as the restaurant has a special senior citizen menu which looked like excellent value. Traditional decor - an... More

We stayed for one night, with evening meal and B&B. The room was fine. There were two large bookings in restaurant, so we could not book a table before 8.30pm. Some food was good, but the Roast Beef was awful (as noted by another customer). We were hounded out of the restaurant, then managed to get one round of drinks... More

We stayed for one night, in the area for a funeral. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and the room was very clean and tidy, not huge but perfectly adequate. The shower was excellent, one of the most powerful I've ever stood under. No lack of hot water, towels excellent quality. The breakfast was superb, usual choice... More
