Not easy to find, but once had it was stunning to look at. our room (9) looked recently refurbished and had everything we needed. Staff very helpful. Breakfast just right. I think the whole hotel has recently been refurbished which was good to see.

After a long week traveling in the UK, I spent my last night in this beautiful Castle. I was greeted by the lovely staff who went above and beyond to make my stay extra special. I dined in the on site restaurant, where the food was excellent and the staff was extremely attentive to all my needs. It was a... More

I stayed here with a friend on 4th aug. It was an itison deal for £99 which included afternoon tea and breakfast. The castle itself is stunning however not as big as it looked but still gorgeous. The afternoon tea was fine but I like it when the scones are warm and they seem more fresh. We were meant to... More

When in Scotland, staying at a castle is a must if one has the time and means. Melville Castle is just south of Edinburgh but is on sufficient size grounds and secluded enough that when staying here it seems impossible that one is just fifteen minutes or so from downtown. As well it is just off a major interstate so... More

We stayed at Melville Castle for one night on 4th August. We had a lovely room with a mezzanine bedroom. We found the staff to be really helpful, one member of staff even stopped his car to ask if he could give us a lift as we walked down the driveway. We enjoyed lunch and breakfast and we have already recommended... More

The room was very comfortable and spacious. it was great to have our own fridge. The bathroom was very clean and spacious too. Whatever time we left our room to go sightseeing its was cleaned and beds made when we returned. They staff are friendly and efficient. Whatever questions we had and whatever we requested wasn't any trouble at all.... More

We loved our luxurious stay at the Melville, and it was made even more comfortable by the caring attitude of the very competent and hard working staff. Aware that my health is not behaving at the moment, the manager and his team went out of their way to help. A real 5 star service.

My partner and I stayed here for one night. We were given room 14 which was a really nice room but is positioned halfway between the first and second floors and so has the top half of two of the windows which are quite low. There was a disabled bathroom as well as a shower room in the turret. The... More

Our daughter had her most important day her, her wedding. The venue is outstanding, the staff are willing, the wedding planner excellent. The arrangements all went as planned, any minor problems dealt with quietly and quickly Having seen the hotel previously, they are obviously engaged in improving the facilities and the operation, (there were 3 weddings that weekend), showing how...
