Great value for money. We had two lovely nights, room was a bit tired looking and the staircase to it very creaky but staff were very helpful. Lovely dinner and breakfast. Great base for going walking or skiing. Good parking. Friendly bar staff and all staff in fact. Room 209, it was near a generator or similar but not noisy,... More

Just had a lovely two night stay at the Boat Hotel. The staff are so friendly and the service was great. It was snowy and cold during our visit but the hotel and room were fabulously cosy with a lovely log fire in the reception lounge area. The bar/bistro, foyer and breakfast room are lovely and traditional and really welcoming.... More

Arrived very tired after a long day. Too lazy to change for dinner. Ordered room service - which was same as restaurant menu. Absolutely delicious. Stayed in many hotels but have never had room service of this quality and high standard.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel as a treat after a long day of snowboarding, we had a warm welcome with the fire in the lobby which was lovely and the lady at the reception was very friendly. We received a free upgrade on our room which was perfect the room was large with a nice bathroom -... More

Booked on a 5pm deal, £99 for two night, dinner, bed and breakfast. Room was a bit on the small side and furniture and bathroom was a bit tired, but was comfortable. The food in the restaurant was lovely, however a little pricey if you were not part of a deal I thought, drinks also were a bit pricey. Breakfast... More

Now under new ownership although the staff - bless them - still run around at 100 miles/hour!! What's that old saying - 'less haste; more speed'!! Anyway, that is not meant to be a complaint - the staff and managers are great and very helpful with any request. Breakfast is far more organised than our last stay but the BIG... More

I booked two weekend breaks using a voucher deal as I was planning to spend some time in the area. The location is great for exploring and there is good parking. The first weekend was just before Christmas and the hotel was decorated nicely for the festivities and had a warm welcoming fire. Our deal included dinner which was a... More
