My 3rd visit to Fraoch Lodge and I had a great time again. The walking holiday (Classic Mountain Horseshoes) was fantastic - especially Ben Nevis via the Cairn Mor Dearg Arete. Andy's Mountain Guiding skills are second to none. As always, Fraoch Lodge offered a very comfortable retreat after a hard day on the hills - Rebecca's cooking is superb!!... More

My daughter and I Ioved Fraoch Lodge. We had a standard twin room in the annex and slept extremely well. Light breakfast - cereals/porridge, toast, orange juice and tea or coffee. There was tea and cake the evening we arrived. The family were very welcoming and their son (6) took a shine to my daughter! Andy very kindly recommended a... More

The perfect highland location for small groups or large. The lodge fit all fifteen of us (on a school class trip) quite comfortably, with two or three to a room, and enough bathrooms for all of us. The lodge included a guest kitchen (where we put together lunches with the delicious, fresh ingredients provided by our hosts), a living room/lounge... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at Fraoch Lodge with Rebekah and her family. We didn't realize that we had stumbled upon a wilderness guide in our host, as well as the comfortable accommodation suitable for both individuals as well as families. I think of this as a gem in our travels throughout Scotland and highly recommend it.

I stayed 2 nights on a birding trip to Loch Garten. Rebecca and Andy were so welcoming and helpful, the accommodation was simple and straightforward but just fine for me and excellent value. Rebecca cooked an evening meal which was quite delicious and much better than other options when I was there (though there is a good restaurant nearby which... More

We stayed for two nights in a twin room en suite. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was simple but good. Our hosts were very cordial, offering us tea upon arrival and a chat.

I stayed over the Easter holidays and loved it. The rooms are clean, warm and nicely decorated. The breakfast is great with fresh homemade bread and jam, cereals and porridge. Dinners are excellent personally cooked by Rebecca with local and fresh ingredients. You also get cake and tea when you come back from the daily walk! Andy is the prefect... More

We had a fantastic Winter Skills weekend in the middle of March with Scot Mountain Holidays which we booked through Walk Highlands.. Andy was an excellent guide and instructor - and we had two brilliant days on the mountain learning how to self arrest, use crampons and and an ice axe, and how to build an emergency snow shelter. We... More

I attended a mountain skills and snow holing course with Andy. The stay was great welcomed as part of the family. Andy's extensive experience of the mountains came through immediately, his knowledge and passion for the area including its flora and fauna a real bonus.

I have stayed at the Lodge on two occasions for several days at a time. On both occasions I felt very welcome and part of the family. The food on every occasion was fabulous cooked at home from the freshest ingredients. Yum, yum. The rooms are neat and tidy and very reasonable in price. Whilst staying at the lodge I... More
