We had a lovely stay in the very spacious Beech lodge. The location outside Winkleigh was ideal for visiting N Devon and the Winkleigh Cider shop. Wheatlands farm was a big hit for our kids and dogs. We all caught fish in the pond and the woods, fields and nature reserve were perfect for playing in. I cant fault the... More

We have just returned from a week's stay at Honeysuckle Lodge. Incredibly happy all round. Great location in rural Devon but easy access to beaches in the north and even Bude is only an hour away. Quiet and peaceful location with very comfortable accomodation. Great welcome from Maggie and Ian, complete with wild flower posy and scones. Would really recommend... More

Stayed with a friend a few weeks ago to "escape" after a stressful year. The lodge (Nuthatch) was perfect - bright, comfortable and spacious with a lovely large veranda. The lodges look out over the fields and woods right outside the lodges so it's a really peaceful place to stay. Walks on your doorstep and lots of lovely places to... More

Recently we spent three days at Wheatland Farm Eco Lodges at Balebarn Lodge, it has the most amazing view across grassland and a small lake with the great opportunity of using bikes to get around the beautiful Devon country lanes. The owner bought over some home made scones just out of the oven which were gratefully accepted and enjoyed. The... More

We spent a lovely weekend at Wheatland Farm with our two young children (5 and 1 year old). Honeysuckle Lodge was cosy and well equipped, with extra baby kit. Our daughter particularly loved the cross-over bunk bed, and our son loved the friendly dog and chickens. We had a great time exploring the wood, ponds and tree house. Ian was... More

We have just returned from a lovely (despite the flooding in Devon!) post Christmas holiday in one of the three lodges at Wheatland Farm. On arrival we were welcomed by the friendly owners (Ian and Maggie) who answered questions, showed us around and left homebaked (still warm!) mince pies for us to enjoy (and we did!) We are a family... More

Our first impression was very positive with the nice scenery and we were welcomed by Ian with some very tasteful scones. We slept in the honeysuckle lodge: a very nice lodge with enough room for 5 (2 adults, 3 children). We were lucky having very nice weather and could enjoy the swimming pond every day, which was blissful for the... More

Spent a delightful week in Otter Cottage, a cosy well equipped base for an active cycling holiday. Delicious hot scones on arrival and very thoughtful hosts who made us feel most welcome on their Eco farm. Clocked up 100 miles of beautiful off road cycling trails and spent a great day out on Lundy Island. Discovered some great coffee stops... More

With 4 young children and a dog, this was the perfect summer holiday for us and our second visit. At the farm, we biked, canoed and kayaked on the lake, caught fish, toasted marshmallows and the children had a huge amount of freedom to run around. Further afield, there was so much to do we could have stayed for a... More

Family of five with boys aged 7,5 and 15 months. Felt very welcome and free to either visit Dartmoor or (better for all) simply explore the eco-farm reserve or fish, canoe, play badminton, go blackberry picking and generally unwind in idyllic settings. Add to that a beautiful warm and comfortable wooden lodge. One of our best holidays in the UK.... More

Our Devon eco lodges offer a tranquil haven for short breaks and longer stays. We're a green business, running our 21 acres for wildlife. But you don't need to be super-green to stay - it's for everyone. Choose from three well-appointed eco-lodges set amongst trees, or Otter cottage, a converted stone barn with views over our lakes and to Dartmoor. Dogs and children welcome.
