We were blown away by the stunning setting of the Loch Melfort hotel, and loved the very relaxed and family friendly atmosphere in the bistro. Kids had a great time on the playframe, at the beach and running round the gardens. A real gem.

This hotel is wonderful, we stayed for one night through a voucher. We were given a good welcome by reception and shown to our room in the wing. I had my doubts about the wing as it could be misjudged for a motel room from outside but i realize there is not much that can be done about it. Upon... More

We stayed here early April and the weather was "mixed". However, this only complemented the view as you could watch all four seasons come and go across the loch. We booked with dinner and the food was excellent. We ate from the fixed menu (although they are very accomodating and allowed some mixing from the a la carte which was... More

We stayed here on Easter Sunday in a ground floor room in the annex. The room was quite big with french doors straight out to a patio area & the gardens. The weather was good and the view down Loch Melfort to die for. The bathroom was large with a bath & shower mixer. The hotel welcomes dogs as opposed... More

We stayed in the hotel last week for my brothers wedding. We were booked into the cedar wing. our room was on the top floor which had its own balcony and sea view which was just beautiful. We stayed for two nights and found the rooms too be clean and comfortable. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the... More

Hotel is in a lovely setting and public rooms are nice. The bedroom again has a lovely view but the quality of the accommodation is disappointing and certainly vastly over priced; which is a shame as its a lovely venue for a wedding. I also found the service during check in and check out a little abrupt.

Many thanks for writing a review and sorry you did not find the accommodation to your taste. Perhaps if you stay with us on another occasion then you could try a Main House room instead. Kind regards Rachel and Calum More

my son was married at the hotel last week and it proved to be a memorable two days made extra special by the venue, the staff who were helpful and such a tranquil location. We will go back. Food was wonderful , fresh local produce cooked to perfection.

We stayed at the Loch Melfort Hotel mid-March 2015 and were made very welcome by the excellent staff from reception to dining room personnel. Our room in the "lodges" block was very comfortable and they even left old towels for using with our dog. The continental breakfast which was provided as part of our deal was plentiful and the evening menus... More

We stayed at this hotel last weekend on an itison voucher deal which was bed & breakfast plus £20 meal allowance in the restaurant for £69. The welcome we received at the hotel was pleasant and we were swiftly shown to our room in the upper floor of the ceader wing. The room was nice and warm for our arrival... More
