We have stayed at the Loch Melfort hotel and eaten in the fine dining restaurant several times, and have always been pleased. However, on this trip we ate in the Chartroom Bar on our way South and again on our way North. The meals were 10 days apart. The first meal was very disappointing. I had mussels - which were... We spent last week in a holiday cottage in Glen Coe which was a bit of a disappointment for a few reasons (the cottage not Glen Coe!). We decided to look for a night on the coast via late rooms and this hotel popped up with a very good deal. Having eaten in the bistro here when passing a few... More

Stayed in the main building room #9 was of a good size with a comfortable bed and refurbished bathroom. The water is a bit brown and with not much pressure. Staff in general where a bit cold. Breakfast was OK. The view is of the loch is nice but I preferred the one of the Crinan hotel near the canal... More

We came across this restaurant by chance while travelling to Oban. It actually part of a hotel – Loch Melfort Hotel. We did not want their fine dining restaurant, so went to their bistro. The bistro was nicely decorated with lots of small pictures. The staff we friendly. The food. 8 scallops. [£ 15.50] I thought these were going to... More

We arrived at Loch Melfort Hotel on the 14th June for our honeymoon. Its true what the other reviewers say, the view is simply stunning... could have happily sat there for a good few weeks and watched the wildlife etc...thats were the 'good part' of the review ends. We had the best room, costing in the region of £220 per... More

Thank you for writing such a lengthy review and we are sorry to hear that your stay did not match your expectations. Our staff worked really hard to ensure that you had the myriad of different balloons on arrival - sorry that they failed to put in a card to congratulate you - that was an oversight as it is... My husband and I had a night here as a short weekend break on the motorbike. If you are a biker the roads are great, amazing scenery just beautiful. Nice welcome at the hotel in a stunning spot right on Loch Melfort. Shown to our room which was a nice size with views of the loch. Freshly decorated room with... More

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at this lovely hotel and had a gorgeous room with nothing between our french windows and the water except a green field with 2 cute as buttons highland cattle. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming and the room ticked all the boxes. We did arrive in the middle of a storm, and though this... More

We spent a night here on an Itison deal and had a very enjoyable stay. From the outside The Cedar Wing does not look great but inside our room was spacious, nicely decorated and with a very comfortable bed. The views are stunning but the weather prevented us making use of our balcony. We found all the staff to be... More

Dinner was first class with the same... More
